Situated on the edge of the pretty port town of Bideford with its pastel coloured houses alongside a tree lined quay, they are conveniently placed just 2 miles from North Devon’s stunning beaches, yet just a short walk from the quayside with its vast array of restaurants, cafes and shops. Take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly, Instow and Appledore. The wide, golden sandy beach of Westward Ho! popular with surfers, is just 2 miles. For walking and cycling, the famous Tarka Trail passes through Bideford, and the coastal path is 550 yards away. Golf, riding and fishing are available locally, and for family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Parks are close by, as is the Atlantic Village shopping outlet and children’s adventure area. Indoor swimming pool ½ mile away. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

First floor: 2 double bedrooms, one (6ft zip and link, can be twin) with additional single (on request), one with en-suite shower room and toilet. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Gas central heating included (£20per week November-March). Electricity included. Four Freeview TVs. Small garden with patio and furniture. Parking (3 cars). NB: If guests require use of the cot then the additional single bed will not be available to guests.

  1. Really easy to find this property and very convenient for Bideford itself. When we arrived we found an excellent welcome package of groceries and essentials (including a bottle of very nice wine). There are lots of books and DVD’s on the shelves and TV’s in almost every room. It’s very quiet considering it’s proximate to the main road. There is a small nature reserve about 10 mins walk away. Morrisons superstore is 15 mins walk. We walked into town and across the old bridge onto the Tarka trail then walked up to the new Torridge Bridge and found our way onto and across it and back to the house. This was the best day weather wise and we’re glad we made the effort. Took the ferry to Lundy from Ilfracombe. Weather was wet and windy but still a great day out. Drove down to Port Isaac (Doc Martin location), took 2 Hours to get there and it rained most of the time but again a good day out. We also enjoyed the full size snooker table on the wet evenings. Overall a great stay. June 2012.
