1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

This substantial and spacious detached family holiday home is set in beautifully maintained formal gardens and provides a tranquil retreat while only being one mile from the centre of the market town of Leek. Internally the beamed ceilings, leather furnishings and parquet flooring exude an air of elegance and comfort. After a hearty meal cooked on the traditional kitchen range, enjoy a drink at the bar in the games room, on the elevated terrace, or just relax and wind down in the hot tub. The traditional market town of Leek, known as the ‘Queen of the Moorlands’, is a well known centre for the antiques trade and sits close to the Peak District National Park. Enjoy the many dining and shopping experiences on hand in the town and visit Brindley Mill, next to the River Churnet, where corn is still ground or explore the abundant attractions in the surrounding area. Within four miles take a ride on the Churnet Valley Steam Railway or visit Rudyard Lake for walking, sailing, fishing or canoeing. Alternatively for walking and climbing don’t miss ‘The Roaches Rocks’ on the southern uplands of the Pennines. A little further afield Biddulph Grange Gardens, Whiston Hall Golf Club and the famous Alton Towers theme park can be found. At Froghall Wharf in Stoke-on-Trent you can take a canal boat trip on the Cauldon Canal or visit the world famous Wedgewood Potteries visitors centre. For day trips the stately home of Chatsworth House and many other National Trust properties are also within easy reach. Shop 430 yards.

  4. Springfields is a lovely warm house with everything you need for a great holiday. I would highly recommend it. If you don’t mind walking the centre of Leek is about 15 mins away on foot. Lots of lovely shops and a market on Weds, Fri and Sat. There is a small Asda only a short walk away. We had a brilliant time. Nov 2011.
  5. Lovely house - perfect for groups, and would make a wonderful party venue! The games room, complete with full size bar was great - lovely to relax around and chat. Loads of space downstairs, and lovely garden too (although we didn’t use it much due to the weather). Upstairs the accommodation is good - not as good as downstairs, but quite adequate. No ensuites, which might put some people off, but two showers upstairs helped the morning rituals go smoothly! We couldn’t fault the spacious accommodation and equipment downstairs - there really was everything we could have asked for. June 2011.
  6. Wonderful weekend break, 8 girls aged 19 - 28 made full use of the hot tub and games room/bar facility. The BBQ was also excellent and the fact that it was covered was particularly useful as the weather couldn’s make up its mind! Would recommend the property for Hen/ Stag dos and other party weekends. The beds were all comfortable but the sizes of the rooms did vary rather dramatically. June 2011.
  7. Great location for cycling! Fantastic facilities at the house meant that even on a rainy day you had plenty to do with the indoor hot tub and "nightclub" room with smoke machine, DJ decks, disco lights, games machines...list is endless. Also a great size garden for ball games and even for the kids to bike around. All in all a great place to stay! April 2011.
