This detached split level holiday property, furnished to a very good standard, makes an ideal holiday home. Located in the centre of the quiet unspoilt village of Portscatho (beach 200 yards) on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. Superb view of the rocky, sandy bay and beyond, can be enjoyed from the first floor living room, and the terraced garden patio overlooking the village and Gerrans Bay, at the rear of the property. Just a short walk to the beach. The popular sailing resort of St. Mawes and the fishing harbour village of Mevagissey are both nearby. Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Austell, approximately 20 miles. The city of Truro is 16 miles, or 12 miles by ferry. Wonderful walks starting at Portscatho all around the Roseland Peninsula. Maritime Museum at Falmouth just a 20 minute passenger ferry journey away. Shop and pub 100 yards.

Ground floor: Utility room. 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single. Bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet. First floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Open fire in living room (no fuel provided). Storage heaters, panel heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Two cots. Two high chairs. Freeview TV. DVD. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Freezer.Telephone-incoming calls only. Patio at rear of property on second level of terraced garden and furniture. Gas barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Friday to Friday.

  1. Lovely house in a beautiful location. Beach within walking distance and friendly locals. For those holidaying with their dog I recommend Trebah gardens and Fistral Beach in Newquay. Dogs welcome at both. Aug 2011.

  10. Portscatho is a lovely unspoilt place to go for a relaxing holiday with plenty of walks for those who enjoy the outdoors. The local pub The Plume of Feathers is very friendly and does very good meals. There are many attractions not too far away so you don’t have to drive too much. All in all a very lovely place to go.   12. The views from this property were spectacular with easy access to the costal path. The whole family including the dogs had a wonderful holiday. I have already recommended Spin drift to a number of friends. Oct 2008.
  13. I’m not sure if it was the accommodation or Portscatho itself, but we had such a gorgeous time and spent most of it inside the property. Really well equipped, lovely kitchen where we all shared some great meals and lovely coastline walks for the dogs. The firework display on Jan 1 was a real treat, no expense spared on a 10 minute display we weren’t expecting from such a small town. We preferred where we were staying to St Mawes, Portscatho had more character. Dec 2008.
  14. Portscatho is a delightfully unspoiled village - perfect for a relaxing break. The village shop is brilliant with everything you could need plus fresh fish, freshly baked bread and long opening hours. There is also an excellent butcher. June 2006.
  15. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Ideal for large parties but the layout of the cottage also lends itself to a break for 2 or 3 people. Dec 2006.
