This charming spacious stone holiday cottage is situated in a quiet square in Wensley, near Matlock in the Peak District National Park. This peaceful hamlet of stone properties makes an ideal base for some of the finest bird-watching, walking, hiking or cycling which this scenic part of the country has to offer. Only 6 miles to Matlock Bath with its many attractions, cafes, bars, restaurants and public houses. Take the cable car to the Heights of Abraham and admire the beautiful views along the gorge. The Mining Museum, Gulliver’s Kingdom and Blue Planet Aquarium are just a few of the attractions. See Rowsley with its working mill and craft centre, visit Castleton and take a tour of the caves where the attractive Blue John stone is mined or explore Ashbourne and the stunning scenery of Dovedale. Just 10 miles to the famous Chatsworth House, both Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, and 7 miles to the old market town of Bakewell with its cafes, restaurants and gift shops. You’ll find that Spadale House puts you within easy reach of them all. Shop 1 mile, pub ¼ mile, restaurant 2 miles.
