Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Small but lovely. Has everything you need and furnishings, bathroom fittings and all kitchen equipment, glasses etc of a very high quality and one of the cleanest cottages we have ever visited. Lots of extras, nice handwash, wine etc AND treats for the dogs including a hamper with dog towels and blankets (truly a dog FRIENDLY property not just dogs accepted). Had a problem with the smoke alarm which the very friendly and obliging owners quickly rectified and were most apologetic about. Great dog walking from the cottage and two good pubs in the village. We were only sorry that we were there for a long weekend rather than a full week, we hope to go back. Lovely!!!! July 2012.
  2. Perfect location for exploring the local countryside. Excellent food to be found at the Three Tons at Eggleston. June 2012.
  3. A warm, comfortable cottage for two with exceptionally good tableware and decoration. A good location for walking and exploring Barnard Castle and Teesdale. Food at the neighbouring pub is good and they have great open fires. April 2012.
  4. A gem of a holiday cottage, small but romantic for two, with quality fittings and accessories. Lots of lovely extras provided by the friendly and hospitable owners. Gorgeous village setting with the pub next door. Only disadvantage was having to take the dog over to the green in the early hours! March 2012.
  5. Best cottage we have ever had, exellent value for the money, very nice owners, will definitely book it again at a later date. March 2012.
  6. This was our first holiday cottage let and the property didn’t let us down it was excellent and we will be going back again. The owner Janet was very helpful when needed and nothing was to much trouble. The welcome pack was great and very thoughtful. Romladkirk and the surrounding area is beautiful. This cottage is an absolute gem in a great location and well worth a visit. Thanks. Oct 2011.
  7. Well equipped for a small property. Quite a lot of extras available to use. Nice village. Oct 2011.
  8. Cottage and village were perfect. A fantastically equipped quality cottage in a charmingingly peaceful and picturesque village. The Church is a must to see and village pub is literally a stone throw away. Surrounding scenery and general countryside is lovely and location is within reach of many places to visit. July 2011.
  9. It is small but very well kitted out with good quality items. We were able to take our dog, and were welcomed with small items which made the weekend. We have stayed in many different types of accommodation and would highly recommend this one. June 2011.
  10. This cottage exceeded our expectations in the accommodation. The owner had prepared for our arrival with thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, biscuits, bread and milk and a bottle of wine, which after a very long journey was gratefully accepted. She had left a light and some music on which was very welcoming. Love the cottage, the village, the area and the people. What more can you say... March 2011.
  11. This was small, and compact, but perfectly formed!!! The perfect place for two. the owners welcomed us, and it was spotlesly clean. Very cosy, and the equipment was top of the range. As written in their visitor book, nice things come in little packages!!! perfect!!!! Sept 2020.
