1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

This well presented holiday home has panoramic views across open fields towards the Solway Firth and provides a peaceful retreat in the beautiful landscape of north Cumbria. The cottage is well equipped and has been furnished with great attention to detail. The location is ideal for touring as the Lake District National Park, Hadrian’s Wall and Keilder Water are nearby, plus the borders of both Scotland and Northumberland are very close. There is a good network of footpaths and cycle routes from the doorstep and plenty of wildlife to look out for. The city of Carlisle is 15 miles and the market town of Brampton is 9 miles. Shops 9 miles, pub 2 miles.

Four steps to entrance. All on ground floor: Step to living room. Dining room with patio doors. Kitchen. Conservatory. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburners in living room and dining room included. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. CD. Ceramic hob. Electricity oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed garden. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. Friday to Friday.

  3. We felt at home the second we walked through the door,like home from home. There are hundereds of walks with 30 minutes’ drive. Take the back roads for a change and stop off when you feel like it, or just sit in the garden and relax. We never go on holiday to the same place twice but we will make and exception for this cottage. The owner could not be more helpful when I phoned and asked questions before we got there. If you’re thinking of taking a laptop (as i had to) then get yourself an Orange dongle. O2 and 3 don’t work very well if at all, not even through an iPhone. Better still dont take the laptop just enjoy the peace the cottage gives you! May 2011.
  4. If you are looking for a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle then this is the ideal place. Situated in a very small village there are few doorstep amenities but all you need is within driving distance. Fully enclosed garden is great for dogs with plenty of sights and sounds from the sheep and horses in nearby fields. Open, glorious views all round. The property is spacious, nicely decorated and in good order. You would never think it would be a rental allowing dogs!! Lovely thoughtful touches from the owner. Would highly recommend as a good property for doing nothing or as a base for a walking holiday. Hope to return! April 2011.
