Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A lovely cottage and a very good pub next door. The Peak district is a beautiful part of England, and Kettleshulme is a good base from which to explore the western side. June 2012.
  2. This cottage was exactly as described in your brochure. The owner was most helpful. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas, a very welcome gesture. Dec 2011.
  3. A lovely cottage, next to a pub/restaurant serving fantastic food and excellent local beers, also never too noisy. The cottage was close enough to the places that we wanted to see and far enough away from the madding crowd. I would definitely return there, there is so much more to go and explore. Aug 2011.
  4. A beautiful cottage with lots of character and all you need for your stay. Pub next door with best pub food ever! June 2011.
  5. The photos don’t do it justice. Gorgeous cottage, excellent facilities. Feb 2011.
  6. The cottage is very comfortable with great facilities. It met all our needs and is furnished to an excellent standard. The kitchen and bathroom are particularly great. We will definitley be back next year. Sept 2010.
  7. Property as described. Well appointed and kitted out. Clean and cosy. Sept 2010.
  8. Next to a great pub, with some of the best gastro food in the peaks. The wiring on the lounge and the dining room were a little odd and the lights did go on the fourth day. The pub next door was excellent, friendly and really helpful. This was a great base for exploring the Peaks. Aug 2010.
  9. Very clean and comfortable. July 2010.
  10. The property was very clean and comfortable. Parking not too good and very close to a busy road. Sept 2009.
  11. The property was well furnished, clean and tidy on arrival. There was a welcome tray, the information pack on all the appliances etc was well laid out and for the first time in over twenty years of using your cottages. Smithy house was the first to provide a welcome for my dog: a bed and a bowl. This to me was a very nice touch. Sept 2009.
