This spacious single-storey converted barn is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Corve Dale, on a working family farm, where lambing takes place from mid-February to April. Adjoining a barn and beamed throughout, it boasts its own large garden as well as an enclosed courtyard. Centrally located for touring, the property is within easy reach of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Ironbridge. Superb walking, riding, golf and fishing are all available locally. Shop 4 miles, pub 5 miles.

  1. This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived, and our dogs are very secure and at home here. March 2012.
  2. First class accommodation with every convenience. The owners had even put a delicious lemon drizzle cake in the cake tin and a bottle of wine in the fridge, as well as a pint of milk. A very thoughtful gesture. Oct 2011.

  4. An extremely well equipped and presented cottage, very comfortable, with a secure garden with table, chairs and parasol. A private courtyard off the kitchen with table chairs, bench and parasol. The double bedroom was had two massive wardrobes. It also had two velux window with very light coloured blinds the room was full of sun by 5 am. The cottage is approached by farm track not I feel suitable for very low vehicles or those with low spoilers. It isn’t very close to Much Wenlock which is given as the location in the brochure. The cake, wine and milk were a kind gesture by Mrs Jones. It was welcoming to have a vase of fresh flowers in the lounge. June 2011.
  5. Peaceful gem hidden in the Shropshire country, within easy distance of all the major attractions of Ironbridge and the beautiful town of Ludlow. A selection of pubs in Much Wenlock for great eating out, a lovely holiday overall. May 2011.

  7. This is the 3rd time we have stayed @ Skimblescott Barn & each time everyhting has been excellent. You can see the lambs being born during the lambing season. Accommodation is large & comfortable with an excellently stocked kitchen. March 2011.
  8. Skimblescott Barn is an excellent place to get away to; the accommodation lived up to all the comments already entered into the visitors book before we arrived. Very spacious and the owners seemed to have thought of everything. Loved the fact that this was on a working farm. Would highly recommend this property for families as there is every facility. In addition the owners are happy to cater for your pet (dog) if need be. This holiday there were only the 2 of us and the accommodation & locality was just as amenable for a couple. Ludlow was not too far away and is well worth a visit. Feb 2011.
