Gas woodburner in living room included. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Two Freeview TVs. DVD. CD. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars, 25 yards). Cycle store. No smoking. No children under 5 years. NB: 6 steps in garden.

  3. Shutters is a beautifully appointed cottage that spares nothing in its quality of presentation. We spent a very enjoyabe week there. Location has easy access to Durham City center and the Metro Center in Gateshead as eell as the Northumberland coast. All in all a lovely place to visit and relax. Jan 2012.
  4. I have been renting these cottages for nearly ten years. This cottage is the best I have rented to date. It rightly deserves its five star rating. If I could I’d take the kitchen back with me to the USA and put it my house. Oct 2011.
  5. Extremely well equipped and comfortable property. The gas fired log burner made the place warm and cosy as the September evenings drew in. Close to many attractions in the NE, and of course right next door to the Beamish Living Museum. Sept 2011.
  6. This accommodation was superb. Everything we needed was provided. We will recommend this property willingly to friends. April 2011.
  7. The property was decorated out to a high standard and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed and included a wine cooler. The conservatory was nice and light and airy and you could sit in there to eat. However, although the master bedroom had an en-suite, so it would appear that each couple had their own washing facilities, it was necessary for both couples to use the shower in the bathroom as there was only a shower attached to the taps in the en-suite. Garden was private and impressive. Sept 2010.
  8. This property is on a quite small estate being the end terrace and largest. Excellent garden view as so many windows/doors plus massive conservatory. Very well kept both internally and externally and so spacious. Surrounding properties very impressive too. Lots of thought and detail have been put into this holiday cottage and looks even better in the flesh if thats possible. July 2010.
  9. Furnished and decorated to a very high standard and very clean. Lovely spacious rooms and wonderful conservatory. Beautiful well cared for garden. Wonderful to have fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee available when we arrived. I find this so welcoming as you can have a tea or coffee before heading out to get food supplies. June 2010.
  10. Every need and comfort was most generously provided for - beyond what one normally finds at self-catering accommodation. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated and a real pleasure to live in. All fuel and bed linen was included which I always think is a real plus. The house is in a pleasant area with a lot to see and do. Expensive but worth it. April 2010.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
