Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We came to Seymour Place for a walking holiday with our dog, and highly recommend the cottage and location for this type of holiday. It is a lovely location to stay, and has a pretty planted area at the front of the house where you can have meals or just relax. Walk down the hill to the village and the community shop, which is well worth supporting. The neighbouring farm also sells their own smoked fish and fresh eggs, and if you like good food, the Fox and Goose in the nearby village of Paracombe is worth a visit. We enjoyed the well-selected range books in the cottage for holiday reading. A short drive takes you to dramatic coastal paths of North Devon. However, most of the walking from the cottage is on the road. Fenella and John are very helpful hosts for Seymour Place. Would recommend Seymour Place as a good location for a peaceful holiday. April 2012.
  2. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. The kitchen well equipped and the bed comfortable. We were not pestered by the owners who had the adjacent property but they were helpful and polite when approached. The weather was "English" but we had three sunny days out of seven and there was plenty to see on the rainy days. April 2012.
  3. Beautiful location, lovely and quiet. Cottage very clean and comfortable, owners very welcoming. We took 2 dogs who absolutely loved it. Easy driving distance to Ilfracombe & Woolacombe, only sorry we were only there for a weekend. Will definitely go back. April 2012.
  4. Lovely little cottage which was warm with friendly hosts. Can not complain about the accommodation or facilities within which had all we required to cook our own food, and relax thoroughly, sadly you can never book the weather. March 2012.
  5. This was ideal as a base to do lots of walking. It had everything we needed and was plenty warm enough. Sept 2011.
  6. Compact and well equipped. Comfortable beds, nice log fire. Nov 2010.
  7. We took dogs, so ideal. Good location. Nov 2010.
  8. Very clean, tidy and well equiped. Loved the woodburner. Oct 2010.
  9. The accommodation was clean and adequately spacious for a family of four. It was also well equipped with unusual cooking equipment such as steamers and woks. Overall, we particularly enjoyed the rural setting. July 2010.
  10. A good sized sitting room in case of bad weather. A quiet spot with the patio area outside the doors making an excellent suntrap, the well maintained gardens and planting helping to give a feel of privacy. We loved the honey bees and birds nearby and best of all chickens nearby to visit as we put compost in the bins! June 2010.
  11. Easy to find in beautiful village. We were made very welcome by owners and villagers as we joined in their Christmas festivities. Log fire and good heating ensured we were warm in icy conditions. Cooking facilities excellent. Dec 2009.
  12. The location was good. Nov 2009.
  13. The location and presentation of the property was excellent, and the fact that you could take 3 dogs an added bonus! Hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home without being intrusive. Village itself is beautiful and locals very friendly. A great dog friendly holiday. Thank you. June 2009.
  14. Great setting for walking ... the weather was very kind to us. Dex the dog loved it too. March 2009.
  15. The owners were particularly welcoming and helpful. July 2006.
  16. Very quiet and within easy reach of lovely village. July 2007.
  17. The situation and setting were fantastic. Our toddler adored the farm; lambs, cows, calves, horses, chickens, etc etc... oh and tractors! March 2007.
  18. The location turned out to be ideal - edge of village, good pub/food, village shop, etc. The location of a property is a priority for us. April 2006.
