Property Description

A superb seaside location, this spacious, three storey terraced holiday cottage with balcony, overlooks the river, sand dunes and sea with 3 miles of sandy beach. The small town of Millom is half an hours walk or can be reached by a slightly longer coastal stroll via the RSPB Bird Reserve. The views from the top of Black Combe are breathtaking, well worth the climb. Coniston Water, 16 miles and the western Lakeland Fells a short drive away. Fishing and water skiing in Haverigg. Shops and pub 100 yards.

Ground floor: Living room. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet. Open tread stairs to first floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. Open tread stairs to second floor: 1 double bedroom with additional folding single (on request) and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Stereo/CDs. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Freezer. Enclosed courtyard and furniture. Balcony. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. NB: River in grounds.

  1. Excellent, beautifully-furnished property. Spacious and full of light. Room for 6 but with just 2 of us we were spoilt for space. Everything you could need was provided, though it would be nice to have wifi. We had 70mph winds hitting the property while we were there but it was still snug and warm. June 2011.`
  2. The property was very well maintained and had a wide range of brochures available to provide local information of areas of interest. As there was a disabled member of the group, the lower level having a shower/toilet and a lounge facility was brilliant. All round very satisfactory accommodation. July 2010.

  5. Very well equipped and modern bathrooms and heating system. Everything you need was provided. Ground floor has its own lounge bedroom and bathroom so my son had this whole floor to himself. Feb 2010.
  6. Lovely views of the river and Irish sea from the balcony. Property only ’works’ because of the upside down arrangement of the living being on the first floor. Very well equipped and located in an ideal place for touring the lakes whilst being in a very quite village/town. Oct 2009.
  7. Seagull House was lovely. The accommodation was of a high standard, especially the bathrooms and feather bed set in the master bedroom. The house was also very clean and well kept. There was quite a few brochures and other bits of information in the house to help find places near by, and the coast is well worth a walk, especially walking along towards to lighthouse for views at sunset. Would happily book again. Aug 2009.
  8. A well presented, well equipped cottage, well kept with comfortable furniture. Large windows both ends of living area made it very light and airy during daylight hours and there was excellent lighting and heating to make it cosy after dark. A lovely quiet spot to retreat to after busy days in the lake district. Aug 2009.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
