Sea Rise enjoys a sea view to the south and views of Criffel and the Galloway Hills to the north. Located on the spectacular Solway Coast near Dumfries and close to the stunning Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park, it is a popular area for walkers and cyclists with world class mountain biking at Dalbeattie 7 Stanes nearby. With unspoilt villages, dramatic coastlines, sandy beaches, rocky coves, magnificent gardens, castles and ancient monuments to explore. Wildlife is in abundance with the RSPB Nature Reserve just along the coast. A championship golf course (Southerness Golf Course) is just 500 yards away, with a further good selection of golf courses within Dumfries and Galloway. Fishing, riding and sailing are all also available. The small village of Southerness about a mile away with its quaint lighthouse that stands on the Solway Firth, and 3 miles away is the home of John Paul Jones (founder of the American Navy). The area of Dumfries and Galloway has a lot of border history and many historical attractions including castles and many connections to Robbie Burns. Sweetheart Abbey, Drumlanrig Castle and Gardens, Mabie Farm Park are all within easy reach. Shops, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

  3. Sea Rise is a 5 star property, absolutely lovely inside - couldn’t fault it; masses of space. The Master Bed was amazing, could fit the whole family in it and still have plenty of space to spread out in. Super, safe garden for kids to run around in and lambs just over the fence - one even managed to get into the garden on Easter Sunday, which was great fun for our 23 month old grandson. The games room was great for evening and wet day entertainment. April 2012.
  4. Beautiful bungalow. Everything to a very high standard. Warm and welcoming on arrival. Christmas tree in the window - complete with presents! Dec 2010.
