Property Description

This delightful holiday apartment is situated on the first floor of a renovated Georgian mansion house, and enjoys sea views over West Cliff. Take a stroll along the harbour, the quaint cobbled streets and climb the 199 steps to St Mary’s church and Whitby Abbey, or visit the Captain Cook museum. Whitby is host to Goth weekends, the famous Dracula Trail, boat trips from the harbour, an excellent fish and chip restaurant and 3 miles of beautiful, sandy beach stretching to picturesque Sandsend, and within easy reach is pretty Runswick Bay, and the quaint smuggler’s coves of Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes. Take the steam train across the North York Moors through ‘Heartbeat’ country to Pickering. Shop and pub 100 yards.

  7. This property is fabulous, modern comfortable and for us a real home from home. We loved it. Its fantastically well equipped with quality products including Bose ipod dock, PS3, Blueray Player and Dualit kitchin appliances. The location is great and quiet at night but easy walking distance of all the delights of Whitby and a great view of the Abbey from outside the apartment and of course you can Glimpse the sea from the main room. Parking is on road only but had no problems. The welcome pack is a lovely touch as was all the advice and help given by Darren in the pre holiday phone call. I cannot rate the property highly enough.   14. Excellent location - close to the centre of Whitby, but very quiet. The apartment is very well fitted out and comfortable, and the owner was very helpful and friendly. The on-street parking is busy, but there are council car parks nearby (discounted parking tickets available from the tourist office). Aug 2010.
