Property Description

This immaculately presented single storey holiday lodge is set in the owners’ grounds close to working farms with views across the Cornish countryside. Situated between the North and South Coasts, and above the stunning AONB of Goss Moor. A 7.5 mile network of cycle, walking and riding trails threads its way around the moor. The North Cornwall Coast is home to fabulous beaches, resorts and villages such as Padstow. The Eden Project is 4.5 miles. Other places of interest include The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the steam railway at Bodmin. Horse riding, trout fishing, cycle hire and golf are available nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/bedroom area with double bed (6ft zip and link, can be twin). Kitchen with slate floor. Shower room with toilet and slate floor.

Economy 7 central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine by arrangement. Wi-fi. Small decking area and separate garden. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Welcome pack. No smoking.

  1. Scholten Lodge is a very attractive property, excellently fitted out to a very high standard, whilst retaining a lovely cosy ’homely’ feel, which is great to come back to after a long day out. It is ideally placed for visiting The Eden Project, which is a must, and many lovely towns and villages, National Trust properties, and the beautiful countryside. The owners are very friendly and went out of their way to find details of local folk clubs for us, resulting in a brilliant evening at Bodmin. June 2012.
  2. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scholten Lodge - the owners were very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble, they made us and the dog very welcome but were not intrusive. We were very lucky with the weather which so far this year was quite a bonus! May 2012.
  3. Beautiful little lodge, very clean and everything there that was needed. Property owners were very nice and welcoming. The property was ideally located for most of the attractions both on the north and south coasts. Would highly reccomend this property to others. May 2012.

We arrived to a very warm welcome, Frank ans Sue couldn’t have been more helpful and obliging, The lodge was spotless and extremely well equipped, very warm and cosy, parking excellent, a lovely area easy access to many beaches and towns. We would highly recommend the lodge to anyone and we would stay here again. March 2012.
  5. Lovely location, very quiet with some beautiful walks nearby. Incredibly friendly owners, very helpful. When I arrived there was milk, tea, coffee and cookies (for me and my dogs). It felt very much like my own little holiday home rather than rented cottage. I know my dogs enjoyed the stay as much as I did. There’s small fenced up area where they could have a play after coming back from the walk and owners are very dog-friendly themselves. I plan to go back there in autumn and I know I will truly enjoy it. March 2012.
