Located at the end of a private lane on the edge of Cornwall’s highest village, these beautifully converted holiday barns form a secluded courtyard of 200-year-old granite buildings. Both have been refurbished and are tastefully furnished, with many character features, including slate floors, exposed beams and antique furnishings. Each has its own private sitting out area with unspoilt views over neighbouring fields or to the North Cornwall coast. Ideally situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor for exploring the landscape of tors and moorland. Enjoy riding, fishing and walking, and cycling on the Camel Trail. With windsurfing, sailing and surfing all within 12 miles, visitors can enjoy the best of coast and countryside, alternating their days between tranquil landscapes and seaside fun at the beaches on the north coast. Places of interest such as Port Isaac, Boscastle and Tintagel, as well as the National Trust property at Lanhydrock and the Eden Project are also within easy reach. Pub, renowned for its cuisine, and shop ¼ mile. Real ale pub 2½ miles.

We thought this cottage was in an idyllic village, there was a little shop, not expensive, a local pub which was extremely friendly and dog friendly, Julie and Lee who own the cottage lived next door and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location all round for us with 2 very active boxer dogs right on the moors, we will be going back to these cottages again but when we arrived in the village we had to ask for directions as it is hidden away. March 2012.

  5. Lovely cosy cottage in a tucked away location. Even though the weather was poor (edge of Bodmin moor in February!!!) I enjoyed my stay and cottage was lovely and warm. Kitchen small but well equipped though not a lot of food storage space. The cream tea and pint of milk a very nice and welcome touch. Wish the weather had been better so I could have enjoyed breakfast on the patio overlooking the countryside. Dogs really enjoyed it and liked their evening walk up to the pub (also dog friendly).   14. The property was tucked away on the edge of Bodmin Moor and in a quiet location with just the sounds of the countryside around. Walking the dog was convenient for the countryside with a local footpath at the end of the courtyard. Sept 2009.

It was lovely coming home at the end of the day to a welcoming cottage with a lovely log burner to relax and unwind. The cottage was cosy, well presented and in a beautiful, quiet setting. July 2009.

  17. Very rural and peaceful but road links are excellent. The Old Inn Pub and Restaurant has excellent food and we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of very well marked local walks and trails. April 2009.

It is definitely the best cottage we have stayed in to date and more than exceeded our expectations. Location was ideal to access all areas we wanted to visit. March 2008.
