With easy access to the motorway they make an excellent base from which to explore both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, together with the seaside town of Morecambe and the historic city of Lancaster close by. Alternatively the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is just 7 miles and offers a wealth of individual shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby are golf, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, with walking available direct from the door. Shop and pub 500 yards. Accommodation will be allocated on arrival (layouts may vary).

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVDs. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Small lawned garden. 5-acres of shared grounds. No smoking. NB: Unfenced marina and canal.

  2. This is a fabulous modern apartment which is easy to heat and lovely to stay in. Close to the lancaster canal for walking the dog. The pub opposite is very popular and served excellent meals - also cooked breakfasts if ordered. The town of Kirb Lonsdale was delightful, visit the Lune Bakery and have coffee and cake by a roaring fire. Dec 2011.
  3. Very well equipped property at an ideal location to explore the southern lakes. Pleasant walks along the towpath. Amazing how easy it is to forget the M6 when it is actually so close. Parking at the front door is great for packing/unpacking. You can get free wi-fi in parts of the marina. Would happily return to this property again. Aug 2011.

  8. High quality, modern, comfortable, warm, purposefully and tastefully designed like a city apartment. Lovely squashy 3 seater sofa & armchair, comfortable beds. good linen, fantastic bath and shower rooms, plenty of storage, good dishwasher & cooker. Though it is right next to the motorway you would have to look to notice it. Freeview TV everywhere. Delightful grounds round the marina though not finished yet. Would advise caution for families with children of primary age or younger because of pale furnishings and open area round marina. My daughters rated it the best one we have ever stayed in. Easy parking. I shall be visiting the area a couple of times a year for some time and this would be at the top of my list of choices. Very easy to get to other places eg Lancaster, Carnforth etc. Hotel/pub next door with excellent food at very reasonable prices. Farm shop / garden centre, children’s play area opposite not visited. Oct 2009.
