Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Great scenery and close to many visitor attractions within the Peaks. Nice pub/restaurant just down the road. Really cosy little cottage with an open fire (even in July!) July 2012.
  2. Ideal location lots of walks from the front door. Very peaceful with stunning views of hope valley. June 2012.
  3. Lovely area, lovely cottage, much quieter and cheaper than Lake District but equally as good. Already booked a holiday for next year same area. Cottage could have done with a simple shower attachment that fits on taps for hair washing also a boot scraper outside - but otherwise perfect! April 2012.
  4. A truly beautiful location. The house is wonderfully secluded and our 4 and 2 year old spent hours out there, feeding the horses in the nearby fields and playing. However, despite its seclusion there were many places to visit within a short distance. We didn’t want to go home. July 2011.
  5. Overall lovely quaint cottage in a gorgeous area, a great get away from it all. Sept 2010.
  6. Property is in a great location, quiet and peaceful, lovely little cottage. June 2010.

  11. The location of the property is perfect if you like the outdoors and have school aged children who love to get muddy! Ideally located for Castleton and surrounding areas and plenty of choice for places to eat. Oct 2009.
  12. Very clean and tidy, would have liked a shower, or shower attachment in the bathroom, but that is just personal peference. Sept 2009.
  13. The location was excellent. Walks from the door, the only sounds were the sounds of nature. Great place to switch off from everyday working life. May 2009.
  14. Beautiful surroundings. Lots to do close by, within walking distance or a short drive. Wonderful for children. Idyllic cottage, the sort you wish you owned. May 2008.
