This charming stone-built holiday cottage situated at the end of a small row, is perfectly located between the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland coastline, in the peaceful village of Chatton. This delightful property offers tasteful, comfortable accommodation in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close to the quiet market town of Wooler, known as ’The Gateway to the Cheviots’ and a great centre for walking enthusiasts, the area was the inspiration for Postman Pat’s Greendale. Discover the quaint villages nestled along the main heritage coastal route, taking in Bamburgh with its fine castle and beautiful sandy beaches, Seahouses with its colourful harbour, Alnwick with its beautiful gardens and magnificent castle used in Robin Hood and Harry Potter films. Berwick upon Tweed, the border town of England and Scotland is easily accessible, as is the Northumberland National Park area of Otterburn and Kielder Forest. Edinburgh and Newcastle are an hour’s drive away. The Percy Arms, a popular eating place for locals and visitors alike, is 400 yards and the shop/post office 500 yards.

Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Patio with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Ample parking. No smoking.

  11. Cottage well supplied with essential kitchen equipment which worked as designed. Lounge area had seating sufficient for all residents, plus a couple of footstools-cum-leg rests, useful for occasional additional visitors. Shower head in ground floor bathroom incapable of being fixed in any other than the lowest position. Sept 2009.

  15. The cottage was great and the views fantastic, very friendly at the Percy Arms, a wonderful base to tour the countryside and costal towns. The cottage was modern and up to date with comfy beds and sofa’s but watch out for the rugs they slip very easy. July 2008.
