Superb loch views

Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, with magnificent views over Loch Long to the sea and mountains beyond. This cottage makes an ideal base for touring this relatively undiscovered part of Argyll. Nearby Argyll Forest Park has an abundance of wildlife and the location is perfect for nature lovers to cycle or just amble through. Visit the famous Benmore Botanic Gardens or enjoy numerous activities including walking, fishing, cycling, golf, quad-biking and watersports. Dunoon offers all amenities, with swimming, cinema, hotels, shops and restaurants. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Ground floor: Living room with open fire and double sofa bed. Kitchen with Velux. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating £25per week. First £5 electricity included, remainder by £1 coin meter. Bed linen included. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car). No smoking. NB: 8 yards from beach.

This cottage is ideally located opposite the Loch and you can sit out with your cup of coffee and just sit and look across the water, which I did on quite a few occasions, in summer it would be lovely to have breakfast out there I would imagine. Occasionally, there are boats and ships sailing up the Loch to watch. It was brilliant that the dogs were allowed at the property, and they loved it too, the area was lovely and we had a really nice relaxing holiday. The only one downside, and it was only a very small one was the parking, but that didn’t spoil our holiday. April 2012.

  3. Rock Cottage was one of the most well equipped cottages we have ever stayed in. It was also very cosy thank to the roaring fire at night. The location was great either for a base touring or just for walking round the local area as the views are stunning. Our dogs loved the shingle beach which is just across the road, and runs right round loch long,There are also lovely forest walks close by. Puck Glen is a must, just along the road from cott house garage. Jan 2012.

  8. Rock Cottage is a comfortable and well equipped accommodation with stunning views over Loch Long. The open fire is lovely and the first basket of logs is provided. The double bed was very comfortable and says a was lovely to leave the window open at night and listen to the waves lapping on the little shingle beach below, very relaxing. This is our third visit which says a lot. Oct 2010.
