Property Description

Approached by a winding farm track, Robin’s Nest is one of a row of converted, traditional granite barns at Kerrow Farm. Surrounded by open fields, this single-storey barn has far reaching views of the Atlantic Ocean towards Sennen Cove and Land’s End. The enclosed lawned garden leads to guests’ own ½-acre meadow (great for picnics and kite flying). Chapel Carn Brea (the NT first and last hill in England) forms a backdrop to Robin’s Nest, and a 20-minute walk along the public footpath in front of Kerrow Farmhouse leads to the summit, from which there are 360-degree panoramic views, from the Brisons (off Cape Cornwall) past Land’s End and the Longships Lighthouse, and round to Mounts Bay. Being in a peaceful, rural location, away from the main road, Robin’s Nest is ideal for children who can play while Mum and Dad prepare a meal, or take a well earned rest. Sennen Cove and the spectacular sandy surfing beaches of Whitesand Bay and Gwynver are just 2 miles away, while the famous Minack open air theatre and the fishing village of Mousehole are a short drive. St Just 2½ miles and Penzance 7 miles (good for shopping). Shops 2 miles.

Two steps to entrance. Living room. Standard fitted kitchen with dining area. Double bedroom. Twin bedroom. Bunk bedroom (upper bunk bed at right angles to lower). Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

  1. A wonderful homely place to stay in an excellent location to visit this part of Cornwall. We appreciated the groceries left ready for us and despite the weather had a lovely holiday. It was a warm and cosy retreat in the dark evenings. Oct 2011.
  2. Well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Quiet and tranquil surroundings. Sept 2009.
  3. Well appointed in an excellent location for exploring West Cornwall. Aug 2009.
  4. The property on arrival was presented to the very highest standard. Its location is ideal in that it is remote enough to leave behind the maddening crowd whilst being less than a 5 minutes drive from the wonderful Sennen Cove. Aug 2009.
  5. Robin’s nest was a very well equipped and well situated property. there was plenty of useful information to help us get the best out of our accommodation and the local area in general. March 2009.
  6. Excellent base for coastal walks. Best beaches in Cornwall - away from the crowds! Views. Sunsets. Relaxed and comfortable. Plenty of space and excellent for dogs. Good for all ages. July 2009.
  7. Very comfortable cottage in an ideal setting. Plenty to see and do locally. The Minack, Porthcurno, Cape Cornwall and Sennen highly recommended – Enjoy! Aug 2008.
  8. We very much like the enclosed garden - its open aspect and brilliant for our dogs, that we can walk on public footpaths directly from the house. Oct 2008.
  9. The accommodation was excellent, plenty of parking and the views were to die for. The location was excellent. Sennen Cove a must for any people booking this cottage/barn. Sept 2007.
  10. The property is very near a public footpath which leads to several routes across the countryside - for a half-hour walk, half a day or more. The path, adjacent field, and the garden of the property which is well enclosed, are perfect for dogs and dog-walking. Oct 2007.
