Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. There are great walks out towards Winchelsea and along the Military Canal. The local pub, the Plough, which is just half a mile away is dog friendly (dog biscuits on the bar!) but be warned that to walk to it you need to go up a steep concrete road but the effort is worthwhile as the food and hospitality are excellent. May 2012.
  2. It is an excellent location, not far away from Rye and the famous beaches. Sept 2011.
  3. Away from it all, but not too far, witha variety of place to visit within easy reach. Aug 2011.
  4. Very comfortable cottage, good views of the surrounding countryside and with excellent walks around the farm, and to nearby Winchelsea, etc. Easy car access to lovely mediaeval Rye, nature reserves and Camber’s sandy beach. Good area for sampling local wines also. It would be useful for the owners to supply a little more information about where the local pub, "the Plough", is and how to access it by foot; also to include such as the Winchelsea walking guide to the local area. It is difficult otherwise to know how/where to cross the river. We did not discover this til the end of our stay. April 2011.
  5. In nice quiet peaceful setting, garden secure for dog and good walks. Ideal for a short break away from busy life style. Oct 2010.
  6. Very peaceful and surrounded by really nice countryside but in a good position for visiting all surrounding areas including Rye, Hastings, Battle etc etc. Aug 2010.
  7. The property and the around countryside is very nice. Aug 2010.
  8. Great location, great hosts, perfect for children. April 2010.
  9. We liked the location, just out of Rye which was always busy. Nice to return to a more relaxing base. The cottage was recently done so still in good decorative order. Aug 2009.
  10. One of our best holidays so far. Beautiful setting, excellent standard and very friendly owners. May 2008.
  11. We were so surprised that the inside of the property was so beautifully finished and so tasteful - not what we had expected from a holiday let. We will definitely be going back - it was absolutely charming. June 2007.
  12. So peaceful and relaxing.. Aug 2007.
  13. A peaceful and pleasurable haven. March 2008.
  14. A truly memorable experience !!! Aug 2007.
  15. The owner welcomed us as soon as we arrived and explained the cottage and its environment. She made us aware of the facilities and general matters regarding the area etc. The accommodation was presented very well and was very clean and tidy. We would go back again and would recommend to others. Aug 2008.
  16. A great get away in the countryside and a great place to get engaged!! Feb 2009.
  17. Fantastic peaceful location and wonderful views. May 2009.
