Property Description

The Boathouse has been built to a nautical theme and has been equipped to the highest standard, offering excellent holiday accommodation. The properties (Refs CVK, CVL, CVM) are within a working boatyard on the banks of the River Bure, enjoying river views, and each property has the added benefit of a motor launch free of charge from 5th September to 17th July. Each has a ground floor compact decked area and first floor glass balcony, providing lovely scenery over the water with all its activity. Designed in ‘upside down’ style, the open-plan living area on the first floor has patio doors leading to the furnished balcony - perfect for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere. The properties are situated in Wroxham, which is well known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’ and has a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. One of the best ways to enjoy the Broads is on the water by motor launch or take one of the organised day trips arranged by the neighbouring boatyard. On the water, the beauty of the Broads can be truly experienced with its extensive wildlife (ducks, geese, swans, spoonbills and herons) and its sleepy Broads villages with their pretty flint cottages and attractive churches. The coast is within easy reach with lovely sandy beaches and a string of villages spreading northwards to the bustling sea towns of Cromer and Sheringham. Alternatively, Norwich is 8 miles away with cathedral, museums, theatre, shops and restaurants. NT properties well worth a visit are Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. Shop 500 yards.

Two bedrooms, each with en-suite shower room and toilet; one double and one twin. First floor: Open-plan living/dining room and galley-style kitchen area with beech wooden floor and patio doors to wrap-around balcony with views over Daisy Broad.

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Excellent accommodation. Would highly recommend, especially out of season dates as this include free use of day boat. You get a taste of river life and can return to lovely accommodation and facilities. June 2012.
  2. Really well set out with all the amenities you could want. June 2012.
  3. Lovely large, open plan apartment right on the marina with lovely balcony with views over the river. May 2012.
  4. Location great, lovely clean accommodation, day boat made the holiday. May 2011.
  5. Clean, comfortable and had all you needed. Feb 2011.
  6. Nice modern apartment including dishwasher. Aug 2010.
  7. Modern, well laid out but main bedroom rather snug. June 2010.
  8. Clean modern well provisioned. May 2010.
  9. The accommodation in all areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge and kitchen was very clean and well presented. The only negative was the beds were not very comfortable and there was not enough pillows. Oct 2009.
  10. The property was very nice. Aug 2009.
  11. Although the artists impression almost led you to believe it is a little more isolated than it actually is the standard of the accommodation far outweighed the closeness of the other surrounding apartments. The fact other boat residents had to use your decking area outside the bedroom windows to access their boats could for some people be somewhat embarrassing and the curtains had to remain closed on the ground floor. The fact that you had access to a small boat on a daily basis was a real bonus. I considered the holiday to be excellent value for money with high quality accommodation. June 2008.
