Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. This is a super cottage and well-placed for moving around the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Oct 2012.
  2. Lovely comfy cottage. Bring a torch if you want to walk to the pub in the next village in the evening. Also, there are no big saucepans, so if you want to cook more than 2 portions of pasta you may have to do it in two lots. May 2012.
  3. Fantastic cottage, very clean and comfortable, recommend a night at the midland hotel in village, the local people were very friendly and we were very welcome at the fantastic outdoor pool and pub. May 2012.
  4. Absolutely fantastic property, we just didn’t want to leave. Enjoyed our nights sitting by the fire and the days sitting in the garden watching the rabbits and piece and quiet other than the sound of birds tweeting and farmyard animals. Would recommend to anyone. March 2012.
  5. Excellent cottage really homely everything you needed and good location will definitely stay again and would recommend it! Feb 2012.
  6. This cottage was wonderfully equipped with the unexpected, ie coffee and sugar in the pots and emergency food in the freezer. The selection of DVD’s was fantastic for all, plenty to read also. One point, but it is not negative, is there are no windows at the rear of the cottage, this we found quirky. Dec 2011.
  7. Beautiful cottage! I visited with 3 other friends for a quiet weekend away from the city. We rode horses with Sockbridge pony riding and definitely recommend it, we did the 2 hour trek. Amazing weather although a bit cold (but we did visit in November after all), and the views were breathtaking. Lazonby itself is quaint and very quiet, just what we were after. Access to it is along narrow country lanes so I advise on driving slowly, but it didn’t cause us a problem at all. The cottage itself is small but still big enough to be comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and the sitting room is cosy, loved the fire! Really really enjoyed our visit, definitely hope we return soon. Nov 2011.
  8. Good location for both lakeland and Scottish borders. Oct 2011.
  9. A beautifully decorated property which was very well equipped. It was situated right in the village and formed the starting point of a lovely walk around the area. We could not fault it at all. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Oct 2011.
  10. Lovely peaceful getaway, with easy access to Keswick and surrounding areas. Oct 2011.
  11. We had a really good time our family from Oz were over and they came with us, the cottage was brilliant as were the views and the people we spoke to were very friendly especially the gardener. July 2011.
  12. The cottage is lovely, very good location, very comfortable. We would stay here again and we are planing a trip later this year. May 2011.
  13. Lacey’s caves are close and a nice walk, ko has a nice cheap pub called the crown. the outdoor pool just over the road was a bit chilly but good in the rain! enjoyed lowther castle. the mexican restaurant in penrith was lovely and quite cheap still. airoforce falls around ulswater were nice although the carpark is expensive and u have to pay for 2 hours even though its only a 10 minute walk! we parked up the hill nearby for free and walked through the sheep field which brings you out right at the top of the falls. May 2011.
  14. This was a very cosy and comfortable cottage in a great location. Nov 2010.
  15. Nice and cosy and suited our weekend break perfectly. Nov 2010.
  16. Spacious, very clean and well stocked. Sep 2010.
  17. The cottage was fine, it had everything we needed for a short break, everything was clean and comfortable, the wood burner was excelent and a supply of wood was much appreciated. Sep 2010.
  18. Obviously refurbished to a very high standard, clean and tidy when we arrived. in a quiet area which was nice. July 2010.
  19. The cottage was very well described, cleanliness was very good all round, well equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings, and really nice and cosy. June 2010.
  20. It was as exactly as described on your web site so no disappointments on arrival, it had a lovely cosy feel to it. May 2010.
