This spacious, bright detached house furnished in classic French style, is situated in a quiet lane close to the centre of the village of Riec with its good range of shops and restaurants. The Belon estuary – world famous for its Oysters is close by.

Walks abound along its wooded banks and tranquil creeks. Nearby too a variety of lovely quiet sandy beaches – Raguenes, Port Manech, Kerfany.

To visit: the artists’ town of Pont Aven only 1.5 miles (2.5km), and the fishing and sailing centre and medieval fortified town of Concarneau is 12 miles (20km) away.

Shop, and café/bar 800 yards, beach 5.4 miles (9km).

Ground floor: Lounge/diner, kitchen, laundry room, conservatory, separate toilet; First floor: shower room with toilet and 2 basins, 3 bedrooms, 2 double, 1 plus single bed, 1 twin.

Oil central heating/electric heating, all fuel and power included in rent May to September, €30 supplement for oil October to April, cot, highchair, colour TV, video, stereo/CD player, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, enclosed lawned garden, patio, garden furniture, barbecue; off road parking for 2 cars. Sorry, no pets.

  1. This is an excellent property situated close to Pont Aven, its proximity to the N165 means that all the southern coast resorts are within a days drive. Some lesser know beaches are only minutes away. You may however choose to relax in the garden with a bottle of chilled Muscadet and enjoy a peach from the tree beside the Bar-b-que area. There are also many walks in the locality, which unfortunately we did not have time to take advantage of as we only stayed a week. Highlights...Vannes old town,very pretty. La Baule, which is not unlike Cannes. Quiberon with is rugged Cote Savage and Benodet, a beach resort enjoyed by children and adults alike. The old town in Quimper was magical too, Concarneau was a great day out also, but don’t expect parking to be free on Sundays as it is at home, we got a ticket. Beware of blue painted parking spots as well, these are never free. Worth booking more than a week here as the property is superb and theres so much to do. Aug 2011.

  3. The property was presented in a very clean state. The added bonus of a form of air conditioning which kept the house cool in the hottestest of weather was an additionla bonus. The house is situated in a very quiet road, within east walking distance of the village and river. May 2010.
