Excellent views and walks

These single-storey, semi-detached stable conversions, with fenced front gardens, nestle in countryside only 0.25 miles from the road and are part of Chitcombe Farm which affords glorious views across the Tillingham Valley. Chitcombe is an organic farm with horses and sheep. The sheep are grazed on a rotational basis and at times in the summer, the fields are rested for grass management. During your holiday, guests are welcome to walk the farm along with the plethora of footpaths. Children and pets are made to feel very welcome. Should you tire of the countryside, the bustling historic Cinque Port town of Rye is close by with its curiosity tea shops and galleries. Miles of golden sands await you at Camber - take a ride on the vintage Kent and East Sussex steam railway. Shops, pub and restaurant 1.25 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 2 steps to 1 double, 1 twin, both with beams and en-suite shower room and toilet.

Both properties: Oil central heating and electricity included (£20per week October-April). Bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared laundry facilities. Enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. Grounds. Parking (2 cars).

  5. We had a wonderful holiday the owners were friendly and supplied milk, tea, coffee and flowers on our arrival. It is a very quiet and peaceful farm with plenty of walks for dogs. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you could possibly want. Would recommend it. Sept 2011.
  6. If you have dogs, (we have 3), this is an ideal spot for you. Located on a farm with acres of mowed paths, through fields and woodland. It is ’doggy heaven’. The location is in an Area of Outsanding Natural Beauty, and there are numerous nearby pubs serving excellent food. We will certainly be making another visit. June 2011.
  7. Very impresssed and felt so comfy especially the little touches such as flowers. Very clean and so very dog friendly. Even my 88 year old Mum enjoyed the holiday. Would definately recommend. Further away from main road than we thought but was not a problem. Lots of nice pubs serving good food. No complaints and our dog loved it also. June 2011.
  8. Accommodation is quite small but ideal for a family of four (with young children). The setting is great - peaceful and lots of open space for walks. April 2011.

  10. Accommodation was clean, tidy and welcoming. Nice layout with one bathroom to (within) each bedroom. Owner left items we would not necessarily have expected (as have been missing with previous companies) such as toilet roll and milk. Would be nice to note on the particulars that there was a DVD player as people might like to take DVDs for the evenings. There were also a lot of extras in the kitchen you would not always expect such as egg cups, tin opener, cheese grater. Small things which we usually end up taking "just in case". Sept 2010.

  16. Nice location. Bedrooms comfy and kitchen well equipped. Seating was a bit uncomfortable to sit in for long periods - we stayed in the cottage with an elderly relatives who did not wish to go out in the evenings. Also, felt like we were sitting in the kitchen all the time. Would not have been a problem, had we been there without elderly relatives. Overall, a nice, centrally located cottage close to all the sights and amenities. May 2010.
