Property Description

Situated in the owners’ 3½ acres of grounds with its own drive and on the edge of a small orchard is this converted thatched barn, all on one level (a wheelchair can be provided if required). An ideal holiday base for animal lovers as the owners also keep sheep and poultry. Further afield explore the footpath across the marshes to Camber Castle built by Henry VIII. Just 5 miles from the Cinque Port town of Rye, where visitors can browse or shop amongst the enchanting cobbled streets and see the beautiful preserved houses from medieval, Tudor and Georgian times. Swimming can be enjoyed at Camber Sands, Winchelsea beach or the indoor pool at Rye. Shops and pubs 1 mile.

  1. One of the best holidays that we have ever had. The owners where very pleasent and helpfull. We where amazed when we walked in and saw the interior of the barn. Everything one requires for a self catering holiday was supplied, "as well as a few goodies". The furnishings where second to none, and the beds so very comfortable!! As the weather was lovely and warm we chose to sit out on the patio in the sun, with such wonderful grounds and views it was as if it where a little bit of heaven. March 2012.

  7. Very helpful owners greeted us on our arrival and provided many goodies to smooth away the Saturday journey. Barn beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Amusement caused by the hens ducks and turkeys but these were shut away early at night and did not wake us with early morning calls. Well worth a return visit. June 2011.

  10. We were very impressed with the property. On arrival the owners Jenny and Steve had thoughtfully left a bottle of wine, fresh eggs from their own chickens beside a beautiful vase of white roses - a lovely touch. The barn was furnished and decorated to a very high standard and their welcome was very friendly. We were only there for a weekend break but would certainly return though hopefully next time we might see the sun! We would have loved to wander around the garden and pond but it was too muddy! Could I also praise the young lady who took our booking. She was very friendly. We had a lovely chat and she is a tremendous asset to your company. Nov 2010.
  11. The property was immaculate & really cosy & welcoming. The grounds are beautiful (the garden at the barn consists of an orchard which was beautiful & Jenny & Steve allowed us access to their grounds around the pond etc). We had a wonderful time there & completely relaxed. July 2010.
