Property Description

These exceptionally well-furnished self-contained apartments are in separate wings of the owner’s Grade II listed 18th-century hall. The properties are both located on the first floor of the hall with stunning views to the front and rear over traditional gardens and parkland beyond. Redisham Hall stands in 400 acres of parkland and woodland, 3 miles from Beccles on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. An ideal base from which to visit the Norfolk Broads, Southwold and the east coast towns and villages. The Victorian walled garden offers fresh home grown fruit and vegetables to visitors and the local community. There is also an opportunity for walking/jogging along tracks in the parkland adjoining the hall and fun fishing in the estate lake. Swimming pools in Beccles and Bungay within 3 miles and tennis in the village. Pub 1¼ miles.

Stairs to entrance. All on first floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. 2 bathrooms, each with shower over bath and toilet.

Private walled garden. Glazed verandah. Barbecue.

Both properties: Electric log-effect fire in living room, electricity, bed linen and towels included (In summer heating by individual heaters as required). Travel cot and high chair on request. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared laundry room with use of washing machine and tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Freezer. Croquet lawn. Barbecue. Ample parking. No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Large fenced pond and drop in grounds.

  6. The accommodation is part of the main hall, which is set in a lovely well managed estate. A peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, interrupted only by birdsong and occasional lowing of cattle in the fields. Ideal for anyone seeking seclusion and lovers of the country side.The only downside was a dearth of pubs/restauants within a reasonable distance if one wishes to eat out.The best place we found being ’The Hunstsman and Hounds’ at Spexhall, where one can get an excellent meal for a reasonable price.   14. Ist floor apartment overlooking 500 acres of parkland-wonderful. Apartment very well equipped and the central heating on at no extra cost for chilly late September/October evenings.   17. We can’t praise enough our accommodation at Redisham Hall.It was clean, bright, comfortable, spacious, quiet and restful. As well as the apartment, the immediate surroundings were also of a very high standard. We could wander in the grounds, buy delicious, fresh produce from the kitchen garden, sit on the covered verandah or in the summerhouse. We had use of the modern barbecue and even the croquet lawn !! All the Redishan staff were exceptionally friendly, courteous and helpful. We are looking forward to going back there another year. We have recommended it to all our friends already !! (Incidentally, the property was idealy situated for tourist spots in nearby towns or along the coast.). Aug 2006.
  18. This is our second stay at this accommodation (Redisham Hall) and its situation makes it the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. It’s absolutely fanastic, incredibly peaceful and private with amazing outlook and wildlife. The caretaker and other staff were fantastic too. Feb 2008.
  19. Wonderful location - set in Suffolk’s green rolling countryside - really ’away from it all’ but sufficiently close to nearby market town Beccles and other locations such as Norfolk.
