Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely modern, comfortable cottage with high quality finish. Very well equipped with everything you we needed with two young children. We visited in mid October & cottage was very cosy & warm with underfloor heating & lovely log burner. Our children (9 & 5 yrs) loved having the upstairs space to themselves. Cottage slightly elevated with large outside space, beautiful views, private patio area & direct access to local walks. Great base for local attractions. We visited Anderton Boat Lift, Crocky Trail, Delamere Forest, Chester City, Cheshire Oaks, Blue Planet & Chester Zoo, and all within a 30 min drive or less. Liverpool city was also easily accessible from Hartford train station that is only 2 mins drive away. We had a great day at the World Museum which was only 5 mins walk from Lime Street station & free entry. We very much intend to visit again! Sept 2012.
  2. Lovely cottage and location. It looks out onto open countryside and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. If visiting Liverpool take the train from Hartford. July 2012.
  3. Cosy, comfortable and quiet, Just as it should be for a lovely holiday. Wonderful rural view. April 2012.
  4. We had a wonderful stay here - was cosy! The boys (aged 3 and 6) loved their bedroom and felt very at home, especially playing in the garden too. April 2012.
  5. This property was an excellent base for Chester and surrounding areas. The cottage is very cosy with modern facilities. The bath and shower room is lovely - very big bath. Lovely views from the cottage - I would recommend it and will probably visit again. Feb 2012.
  6. Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location perfectly situated for visiting Chester and surrounding attractions and countyside. Sept 2011.
  7. The cottage is set in a quiet peaceful area, is was very cosy and clean containing everything you may require. A bonus is off street parking, this was important to us as we had a hire car being visitors from overseas (Australia). The owners could not have been more helpful and available to assist while at the same time giving us our privacy. A five star rating from us. July 2011.
  8. Excellent location for many National Trust Properties and Chester. A must for the area is to visit the Anderton Boat Lift. The setting for this lovely cottage was so quiet and very beautiful. Loved it. May 2011.
  9. The owners could not have been more welcoming and whilst the property is located within the grounds of their family home we did still feel nicely ’out of the way’. This is a lovely property for a quiet break away from it all yet within easy travelling distance by car to local sights and amenities. April 2011.
  10. A nice setting. Jan 2011.
  11. Property better than pictures suggest. Dec 2010.
  12. Lovely setting and quality furnishing, with wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and friendly hosts. Home from home! Nov 2010.
  13. A lovely location with a beautiful view from the garden. A good space outside for children to play in. Aug 2010.
  14. The accommodation was very well presented, it was clean lined and modern but still very welcoming. Aug 2010.
  15. The property was very modern and clean. The outlook from the windows was very good. The owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. We forgot to enter our comments in the Visitors Book - which was our mistake! May 2010.
