This large semi-detached house is in a lovely rural location and runs off renewable energy. The owner, tenants and guests have the advantage of a shared games room with billiards, table tennis, table football and darts, and in the large garden there is a boules pitch, tennis court, football goal and gym.

The property is located near St Omer, one of the oldest towns of Northern France, with its many canals, squares and lovely buildings. The Belgian city of Brugges is an hour away, or visit the sandy beaches and resorts of the Côte d’Opale, including Le Touquet, Hardelot and Wimereux, all with superb golf courses. Boulogne with its National Sealife Centre or the WW2 Museum at La Coupole make excellent days out for the whole family, or spend a day at the family amusement parks of Parc Astérix or Bagatelle.

Second floor: Bathroom with basin (no toilet), separate toilet, 3 bedrooms: 2 double, 1 twin.

Oil central heating, open fire in lounge, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, colour TV, dishwasher, freezer, shared lawned garden, shared garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 3 cars. Sorry, no pets.

  3. A large well equipped property away from traffic but within easy reach of shops and St Omer. Good play area for children although the steps in and around are quite steep and unsuitable for the very young or elderly. The owner is on site and is very approachable and helpful.   5. An excellent holiday. Lots of interesting places to visit within half an hour and even more within an hour. Clean property, friendly owner and plenty to keep children and adults occupied with the tennis court and games room. Lovely restaurant just ten minutes walk away and boulangerie and boucherie even closer. Lovely open fire. March 2011.

They made us feel a part of French life, even hosting a French meal for all 11 of us! and when one of us was taken ill they sorted doctors and pharmacy’s. Thank you. May 2010.
  9. The owner (on site) is to be commended for his welcome, helpfulness and the accommodation he is offering. This has been by far the best accommodation we as a group have enjoyed in France. A light and spacious house with rooms of good size to accommodate a party of our size (10) and well equipped, plus having the extra facilities of games rooms. We would certainly return again.
