This stone built traditional terraced cottage offers cosy and welcoming holiday accommodation with an open fire in the living room. Situated in the popular peak park village of Longnor, the cottage overlooks the church and is only 50 yards from the market place. An excellent base from which to explore the Peak District National Park, with Dovedale and the Manifold Valley conveniently close. The spa town of Buxton, complete with botanical gardens, opera house, swimming pool, golf course and excellent shopping centre is 7 miles. Shop 100 yards, pub 150 yards, restaurant 50 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. First floor: 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Open fire in living room included. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Video. DVD and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Small paved area and furniture. On road parking. No smoking.

  2. Fantastic location overlooking picturesque church within a minute walk of market place which has excellent facilities including cafe, pubs, post office and village shop. No private parking but streets near cottage not busy and free parking and we were able to load/unload right outside cottage on arrival and departure. Good quality fixtures/fittings, large screen TV in lounge and bedroom and amazing power shower! Plenty of room for a couple and dog with small enclosed garden. Plenty of fields/walks within 5 minutes of cottage. Centrally located for major attractions including Buxton, Bakewell, Chatsworth House (all within 30 minutes scenic drive). June 2012.
  3. An attractive and well built turn of the century cottage with a working fire place set in a pretty and quiet village overlooking a picturesque Churchyard. Small front and rear garden with seating areas. A comfortable bed, excellent shower and modern bathroom coupled with two TVs/DVD upstairs and downstairs provide the necessary relaxation. Conveniently located a mere 6 miles from Buxton town, this cottage is a real gem! May 2012.

  7. A lovely cottage in a great village location. We stayed on a very snowy weekend and the caretaker and owner were very helpful in giving us information about whether we’d actually be able to get there! If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
