Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Cottage very clean and had everything we needed. Location excellent as in a quiet bay but after 25 minutes on the No.41 bus we were in the heart of Edinburgh. Bistro next door very handy for coffee & cake and had one meal in the Cramford Inn 50 yards away which was very reasonably priced and tasted good too. If you wanted a base for Edinburgh but also wanted the option of a quiet rural setting this cottage was ideal. June 2012.
  2. Very cosy cottage in a beautiful location that was handy to Edinburgh. Kitchen was very well equipped and quite functional. Felt like we were in our second home. Wonderful place to be! May 2012.
  3. Fabulous location from which to enjoy all Edinburgh has to offer but not be in a city centre. Great comfortable cottage which was very pleasurable to stay in and great for families (we have a toddler). Well equipped for a self catering break. Only thing missing was wifi. March 2012.
  4. We found the cottage very comfotable excelent veiws. If you would like a meal in the pub on a sunday you need to have this at lunch time as they do not do sunday evening meals. It would have been interesting to have had some information about the cottage although there is a museum below the cottage it was shut while we were there. A next door neighbour Andrew was very helpfull and did tell us quite a bit about the history of the cottage. Oct 2011.
  5. Good location, excellent cafe nearby, good pub very close, shops a wee bit far away, need a car for going there. Tesco, about 4 miles or so, great wildlife, loved feeding the swans and ducks, waterfall up river within easy reach. Good bus stop nearby, no 41 straight into city centre. For the energetic you can walk across to Cramond Island at certain tide times. Sept 2011.
  6. This cottage was a great find - very clean, comfortable and cosy and had all that we needed for our weeks stay. The view onto the quay was amazing and we had many nice walks with the baby to see the boats and ducks. Only thing to note is that you can’t park on the street during the summer months so we had to park down the road but it wasn’t far. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay out of all the hustle and bustle of the city centre. April 2011.
  7. The cottage is comfortable, the neighbours friendly. There was plenty to do. We enjoyed the horses in the nearby field and the wood burning stove in the evening. March 2011.
  8. Clean, modern appliances, good home from home. Feb 2011.
  9. Accommodation was very well equipped and furnished to a very good standard. Overall very comfortable. A nice home from home. Oct 2010.
  10. The best equipped cottage I’ve been to, wonderful location, can’t wait to go back. Sept 2010.
  11. Location, Ambience. Aug 2010.
  12. It was a real home from home. There was so much consideration put into ensuring everything was just right. It was also a great location for our holiday needs. We will certainly look to return there in the future! Nov 2010.
  13. It was really nice the bast one that we have been to. Oct 2010.
  14. It felt really homely. June 2010.
  15. Very cosy and well equipped. June 2010.
  16. Superb location - only a short walk to local bus stop for trips to Edinburgh. A very friendly village location - would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage, It would help if the no 3 was included in the address and not just Quay Cottage. May 2010.
  17. The location was excellent, the proximity to Edinburgh was a great bonus. Very homely atmosphere maintained all through. May 2010.
  18. We received a lovely warm welcome. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. April 2010.
