Property Description

This single-storey property commands superb views over Lake Windermere and is ideal for couples and families alike. Set in the grounds of Priory Grange, relax on the large open lawns or take a stroll down the footpath that leads to the lake itself. Cruise on one of England’s largest and perhaps busiest lakes, Windermere or take a ferry to Sawrey, drive around the lake heading south towards Newby Bridge and Fell Foot Park (NT), or travel to Ambleside, and walk in the fells, or go to Coniston Water, 13 miles. Shops and pubs 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared use of large lawned areas. Parking (2 cars). Dogs must be kept on lead at all times. No smoking. NB: Steep slope opposite entrance. Footpath in garden leads to private lake access.

  8. Overall the accommodation was good and adequate for our needs... The weather was excellent during out stay however we have stayed in this same cottage before when the weather was not so good... We recommend a DVD player to amuse when the weather is wet.. June 2008.

  16. Brilliant wildlife visible from the front door. Warm, cosy and peaceful. Great nights sleep. Some great restaurants in Bowness but you need to get in the car for them but would still come back here as a escape hole. March 2009.
