1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low¬† deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Area steeped in history

This delightful terraced character holiday cottage is situated in Cartmel, one of South Lakeland’s oldest villages. The village grew up around the famous 12th century priory and is steeped in history with its numerous buildings in particular the old gatehouse which was part of the monastery in the 14th century. Built in the 17th century on the existing boundary wall using old stones and timbers from the monastery, as were many of the other buildings in the village. Originally built as a stocksman’s cottage it has been renovated to provide holidaymakers with an ideal, all year round base in this charming village with its traditional pubs and shops. Golf 1 mile. Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen with beams. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin.

  8. Cartmel has beautiful buildings, lots of pubs with a good atmosphere and pleasant walks within minutes from the cottage.. The homely touches, good sized rooms, beautiful fireplace and comfy sofas and beds made this an excellent place to stay. July 2009.
  9. Lovely village friendly locals. The location was fantastic, beautiful surroundings with great dog walks on doorstep. However when first entering property very strong smell of dogs! I suspect due to use of carpet throughout. July 2009.
  10. This was our 4th or 5th stay at Primrose Cottage and as always it was a home from home - but even better as it was in the Lake District! The cottage is beautifully and thoughtfully presented. I even managed to get our Audi estate in the garage 7 times without scratching it. My only regret is that we do not own this lovely property so we could live there all the time. April 2008.

  12. This was a lovely little cottage and even although the weather was awful it didn’t spoil the break. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable and we spent quite a lot of time inside due to the poor weather. The shops in Cartmel were well worth a visit and the pubs very dog friendly. March 2009.
  13. The property was in a perfect location for us to access all parts of the lakes. The children felt comfortable and relaxed in the house which helps us as parents. It had garage space for us to park our car which was important as parking outside would have been difficult. April 2009.
  14. This lovely cottage was enhanced for us by having a truly enclosed rear garden which gave welcome freedom to our two small dogs and peace of mind to us. Additionally, the early morning walks out over the racecourse and beyond were filled with birdsong. April 2009.
