  1. This is an ’out of the way’ cottage about 2 mile from Mawgan Porth and about 7 mile from Newquay. We have been coming to this particular cottage for the past 4 years because the owners are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet are as their extended family, the son and his wife along with their lovely children. The cottage is on an Organic Farm where they keep livestock. There are just two cottages both with outside space for sunbathing or eating outdoors. The cottage is always spotless and if you are there for more than one week, Nancy will come and change to bedding, we however prefer to change it ourselves and that also is ok. This, as said, has been our 4th year at Higher Lanvean Farm and we have already booked for 2013. The cottage, though tucked away has beautiful views of surrounding farm land and beyond and being on a working farm is wonderful for children. The weather in England is always unpredictable and we have had two years of wet weather, however despite this I would not change my 2 weeks at the farm for anywhere in the world. Walkers beware that the roads around the farm are very narrow and there are no footpaths in the immediate area. June 2012.
  2. Good location at the top of the valley looking down into Mawgan Porth. Well equipped cottage and friendly owners at adjacent farmhouse. March 2012.
  3. The property was comfortable and exceptionally clean and efficiently kitted out and in a quiet location with wonderful views and easy access to the coast. The owners were welcoming and helpful. I would have no hesitation in booking it again. Sept 2011.
  4. The cottage and the family on the farm are always warm and welcoming it was just the weather this year that let it down. June 2011.
  5. All the facilities that you need to enjoy a peaceful break. Sept 2010.
  6. Porth View had everything we could possibly need provided, but it was not cluttered with things we would not need. Ideal - thank you. The proximity to the beaches, but its quiet location was perfect for our needs. We loved being able to look out to the sea to see what the weather was doing! July 2010.
  7. Loved the setting, the actual layout general atmosphere. April 2010.
  8. Clean and comfortable, with a nice view towards the sea from all the back windows. Quiet peaceful location . Friendly owners- but not interfering. Would stay again. April 2010.
  9. The cottage was beautifully presented, in a lovely setting. In an excellent position for the beaches. Owners very helpful. March 2010.
  10. Accommodation beautifully clean and well equipped. The cakes and milk in the fridge on arrival were a really welcoming touch! The facilities were great for dogs too, especially the enclosed patio area. Feb 2010.
  11. Lovely warm clean cottage. Small but had everything you’d need. Oct 2009.
  12. Very safe for children good for dogs. Great position and excellent owners. Aug 2009.
  13. Very clean and tidy accommodation, with a homely feel. The owners showed a keen interest in keeping the farm and holiday property in a smart condition. July 2009.
  14. The accommodation is spotless, the views are lovely, and the family who run the farm are absolutely brilliant. We have booked again for next year. June 2009.
  15. Very friendly owners but not interfering. May 2009.
  16. Stunning views and locations. Clean, well equipped and friendly. All that you could wish for. Feb 2009.
  17. The owners of the property were the best, they made us feel welcome without being intrusive and the accommodation was spotless. Our best English holiday yet. June 2008.
  18. This is our third visit back to Porth View. The owner is lovely and makes us feel truly welcome. I particuarly like that she makes it easy and convenient to continue recycling as effectively as I do at home. The cottage is always spotless. Sept 2008.
  19. Lovely place, owned by very lovely people; very helpful. Not too far from places... need a car really though. Nice local beach! And very pretty :) June 2008.
  20. A fabulous place to stay and a wonderful part of the world!!!!!! Aug 2007.
