Situated at the end of a quiet closed lane, 700 yards from the beach, this spacious detached single-storey cottage provides an idyllic family holiday retreat with flat walking over protected marshland straight from the door. The heart of Aldeburgh - famous for its shops, excellent restaurants, pubs, shingle beach, golf course and the well-known fish and chip shop - is just a short walk away. Snape Maltings is close by offering a further selection of shops, as well as the renowned year-round concerts. Numerous places of interest to visit include the bird sanctuary of Minsmere, the shingle spit of Orford Ness and local famous churches. Shop 700 yards.

  1. Beach and Aldeburgh easy walk through exclusive caravan park. Eating out not cheap, all places about the same prices. Two good chippys in Aldeburgh. Good base to tour from. June 2012.

  5. Poplars is wonderful. It’s in a great location, especially if you like walking and wildlife and is an easy short walk into Aldeburgh. It is quiet and tucked away, warm in colder months and comfortable. We love it and will certainly go back again - for what will be our 5th visit! March 2011.
  6. Nice homely but spacious bungalow, tucked on the edge of Aldeburgh but with very easy access on foot all around the area and with open views across the marshes towards Thorpeness. Easy to find by car. Peaceful and away from the general business of the town. Thoroughly recommended. Nov 2010.

  11. Excellent location in a pleasant town. About 10 minutes walk from the beach, 15 minutes walk from the town centre and 5-10 minutes walk from the nearest supermarket. Aug 2009.
  12. Great situation for walks, beach and local amenities. Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Quiet position. However, although brochure states "easy walk-inaccess", we did have a wheelchair and it was difficult to maneouvre the high front and rear entrances! Everything else was superb! Sept 2009.
