Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Cottage was cosy and comfortable. June 2012.
  2. Lovely cottage, very helpful & friendly owners, very well situated both as regards amazing views from the property ,and it’s not out in the sticks, only one minute to a main road. 10/10. Jan 2012.
  3. Very comfortable. Excellent views. Quiet location and very convienient for Keswick and Penrith. It also made travelling south back to Sheffield better on faster roads to our usual route to the Lakes. Oct 2010.
  4. It was cetainly a cottage, warm, clean and good location. March 2010.
  5. Excellent, clean and cosy cottage. Just perfect. March 2010.
  6. The cottage was well placed with easy connections to most of the Lakes attractions. Great location for walking and wonderful to have a log fire after a cold day outdoors. Jan 2010.
  7. Well located for walking and a short drive from two main towns the cottage was very comfortable and warm the kitchen had all we required for our stay. A very quiet location and highly recommended. We stayed during the very bad weather and flooding and at no time did the stream overflow but we were concerned after receiving the warnings. Nov 2009.
  8. Nice and warm and comfortable, plenty of tourist info. Log burner was a plus point. Small kitchen but everything there so no problems. A good value property. Nov 2009.
  9. The property was very cosy. We arrived after a long drive and it was lovely that tea had been laid out for us (a very nice touch) It was clean and perfect for our needs. The only downsides were the size of the kitchen which was tiny and realistically could only fit one person (2 at a squeeze) in at once. The second downside was the water heating system which only produced enough hot water for a very shallow bath. Oct 2009.
  10. Cosy, warm with a lot of little extras, like a tray of tea on our arrival and firewood in the grate. Delightful position, by a stream and rural, but central, for touring and walking. July 2009.
  11. Very homely, everything you could need was there. June 2009.
  12. Pretty cottage in a great location. Nice walk to Sportsman’s Pub. Go to the A66 corris the road. Turn right and Walk up to the for 5 mins until you come to old Roman road that runs parallel to A66. Walk ahead to pub. It’s exactly 1 mile which is a twenty minute walk and it’s peaceful because you haven’t got traffic rushing past you. It may take an hour back as you zig-zag ! March 2009.
  13. Lovely little peaceful, cosy cottage with beautiful views. An excellent base for exploring Lake District on foot or two or four wheels! Value for money and lived up to expectations from website information. May 2008.
  14. Excellent cottage, fantastic location, the cottage was just what we were expecting. We really enjoyed out stay and will definitely book again. April 2008.
