Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A beautifully furnished, clean, homely house with all the mod cons and equipment you could want - and non-mod cons like roaring fires. Plus a Spa! What more could one ask for? Oct 2012.
  2. Lovely, spacious, comfortable house. The jacuzzi and pool were a well used bonus. Dec 2011.
  3. This is a lovely place to stay and we had a great time there. The property is so large that we could spread out and not feel on top of each other but the rooms are large enough so that we could all get together and watch a film or play games! The hospitality was good and the living rooms were comfortable and cosy. The kitchen are well equipped but finding where utensils were stored took some working out. The hot tub and rapid river spa was brilliant for all ages. There are lovely walks close by and excellent places to visit within a short drive. Garden is also fantastic. Don’t want to recommend this gem any further as it might get booked up too quickly! Oct 2011.
  4. First impression of the exterior of the house was disappointing at first, but the interior was clean tidy and well equipped and we had a warm welcome from Jean, the caretaker. The garden was excellent and well tended. Aug 2011.
  5. The property was much as described, plenty of room and very homely. Feb 2011.
  6. Good value for money. Nov 2010.
  7. Very well equipped - plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, bikes, warm welcome on arrival. July 2010.
  8. House was a fantastic size, everything you needed was supplied, pool and spa are amazing. July 2010.
  9. The property is fantastic space for a large group. There were 16 of there and there was ample space for us all without us tripping over each other. Feb 2010.
  10. Excellent accomodation, every need was catered for. We went to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday and as it was December we had a mini Christmas. We could not believe how well stocked the kitchen was. Childrens needs were also more than met with a fantastic selection of games and toys. Dec 2009.
  11. The accommodation was very comfortable and suitable for large groups of people. It was close enough to Edinburgh for a visit to the Tattoo. ( We hired a Mini-bus from Cook’s Taxis in Kelso). Aug 2009.
  12. It’s rooms were good, but with only 2 bathrooms upstairs (for 14 people), it was a rush to get in first, the garden (plenty big enough for what is needed) and spa/pool were first class. July 2009.
  13. Don’t be put off by the outside, the inside of the property is an amazing place to stay. My children wouldn’t have left the garden if they didn’t have to due to the trampoline, swings and pool. April 2009.
  14. Pinewood House provides a great location for a large family holiday, there is enough space, both in the house and garden to enjoy quiet time, as well as group time. The Spa is of particular enjoyment, along with the provision of a large selection of games and activities. April 2009.
  15. Most impressed with the very warm welcome. March 2009.
  16. The housekeeper- June was excellent and very attentive, the welcome on arrival was a lovely unexpected pleasure. March 2008.
  17. The house was lovely inside, the housekeeper had filled the house with fresh flowers and lit candles and set the fires. We had a wonderful time here even the weather couldnt spoil things. Aug 2008.
  18. Ideal for large groups, hot tub and spa a very popular feature!!!! Jan 2007.
  19. As a group of 14, aged from 4 to over 50, everyone enjoyed themselves and were delighted with the accommodation and services on offer. The garden and spa were wonderful entertainment and we hardly left the property at all. July 2006.
  20. The kitchen was the best equipped one I have ever had in 20 years of Self Catering Holidays. June 2006.
