1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

These spacious holiday cottages, finished and fitted to a very good standard, have been thoughtfully designed keeping some original features. Set down a quiet country lane, a short drive from historic Bodmin, and around a courtyard where chickens roam freely, they have country views. A short walk leads to the station where the popular Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway runs to Bodmin with its historical jail, shops, restaurants and pubs. From the station at Bodmin Parkway you can walk to NT Lanhydrock House. From the cottages you can walk to the Camel Valley Vineyard to sample and purchase the local wines. Within walking distance is the local pub and the Camel Trail, a level disused railway line, with an abundance of wildlife along the Camel Estuary - ideal for walkers, cyclists and horse riding. The properties are ideally situated to visit the North Cornwall coastal resorts of Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac, and Padstow - home to Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant. Close by are the South Cornwall coastal resorts of Fowey, Looe and Polperro, or take a trip to the famous Eden Project. A short drive away is unspoilt Bodmin Moor, Rough Tor and Brown Willy. Golf, horse riding and fishing are all nearby. Shop and restaurant 1½ miles, pub ½ mile.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with beams. 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Bathroom with bath and shower cubicle (no toilet). Separate toilet.

Both properties: Woodburner (initial fuel included). Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Wi-fi. Shared walled garden with seating area. Shared use of 40 acres of grounds. Ample parking. Cycle store. No smoking. No children or babies due to animals and farm machinery in the area. Friday to Friday. NB: 2 steps in grounds.

  3. A very welcoming, spacious and comfortable cottage, beautifully fitted out. It made us feel quite at home. Beautiful towels, comfortable bed, all the necessities in the kitchen and warm enough in the not-so-good weather we had. A very pleasant surprise was the eggs that were left for us as well as the detergent for both the dishwasher and washing machine. When you are international travellers it is impossible to carry these. The location was chosen so as to be not far to explore both north and south coasts of Cornwall and we found it to be so. At the same time we found it a quiet, pleasant location. We would have no hesitation to recommend this cottage to others for a very comfortable and pleasant holiday. Sept 2011.
  4. Penno cottage is our dream holiday accommodation, near to access roads, walking trails, deli food shopping and great pub food. We spent days on Constantine & Daymer Bay beaches with picnics from the fabulous food shops in nearby Rock. To be able to walk the Camel Trail from Penno cottage was the icing on the cake... no driving! June 2011.

Beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need. An absolute joy to stay there. We ate the best eggs weve ever eaten from the chickens on the farm. Cant wait to go again. June 2011.
