Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We really enjoyed the property, and didn’t mind the 15-20 minutes downhill walk into Holmfirth,as we could get a bus back after a night out. Wooldale was very quiet apart from the cockerel kept by the house opposite. Not a problem in March during our stay as it didn’t start crowing before 7.30am, but might be a problem in summer for light sleepers! March 2012.
  2. Pellcot was a suberb, cosy cottage close to local ameneties. We were warmly welcomed and soon felt very "at home"! Local walks were excellent and there were plenty to choose from; many from the selection available in the cottage. We had a great time and were sad to leave such a friendly location. We even had a drop-in from some people who lived locally, now moved away, but who gave us a brief history of the cottage and their local connection. Brilliant! July 2011.
  3. The location of the property was perfect for us as we have family nearby. However it would be a bit of a treck for people who would like to be near Holmfirth village itself. On the other hand the shop was on the doorstep and pub 1 min down the road! Scenery great and lovely walks. July 2011.
  4. We had a perfect week in a lovely cosy cottage with the most comfortable bed imaginable. The close proximity of the village store that was open every day from 7.30 until 21.00, including Sunday, made the lifestyle even easier. We have already booked again for next year. June 2011.
  5. Thoroughly lovely cottage. Everything we needed for a peaceful weekend. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. Would stay there again. May 2011.
  6. Ice and snow outside, warm and cosy inside. Very comfortable bed. Would like to go again. Nov 2010.
  7. Very quaint and comfortable. A lovely place to come back to after a long walk. Oct 2010.
  8. This property suits our needs, it has all the amenities we require. This was our fourth visit, as we live in south Africa and do a yearly visit to the UK to see family and friends the location of this property is ideal for us. Sep 2010.
  9. Lovely cottage with nice atmosphere. June 2010.
  10. A unique cottage and although very small ideal for a couple. I’m sure it would be very cosy in the winter. Aug 2009.
  11. Cosy and easy to look after. Bed very comfortable, location convenient and the shop nearby was a godsend - I did all my food shopping there. Pretty little garden just a shame the weather wasn’t good enough to use it. Heating very quick and effective. Water pressure excellent, for some reason I thought this may be a problem. July 2009.
  12. Cosy cottage. June 2009.
  13. Superb and homely cottage ideally locates to explore the South Yorks countryside and Peak district. The type of holiday where you can do as little or as much as you feel like. Plenty of picturesque walks and great transport connections if your legs get tired and you need a break from the car. June 2009.
  14. Very warm welcome from the property owners, helpful information about the surrounding area , times of buses etc. Feb 2009.
  15. Clean, everything you need, beautiful view. Sept 2009.
  16. A cosy cottage for two for anyone wanting to explore the countryside. Dec 2008.
  17. From the moment we arrived our host could not of been more helpful. The cottage was delightful and homely within a nice quiet village with a very welcoming pub. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night. Would recommend it to anyone. Jan 2007.
