Close to the seafront at Chiswell near the southern end of the famous Chesil Beach, this charming refurbished, 200 year old holiday cottage retains period features, offering stylish and comfortable accommodation. A nearby coastal path winds around Portland’s miles of remote Jurassic Coastline, ideal for sea fishing, and within easy reach is the Georgian seaside town of Weymouth, with its Blue Flag beach, Sea Life centre and RSPB nature reserve. Windsurfing, diving and yachting are popular in the area. Shops, pubs and restaurant within 300 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with beams and oak floor. Kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 single, 2 steps down to 1 double, 1 twin with additional Z-bed (for child). Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

  1. This is an absolutely fabulous property and perfect for 2 small families or 1 larger one and is perfect for a small dog as the rear garden is enclosed and paved. Not for anyone who has difficulties with hills as the property is on a steep hill. We will definitely be going back. Dec 2011.
  2. Beautifully-appointed property, far better in actuality than the on-line pictures suggest. Very well located, though getting a large vehicle into that parking space is a bit amusing. Splendid sights to enjoy nearby, and really excellent local restaurants/takeaways (we wished we could have taken them away with us when we left!). Perhaps add a large saucepan for cooking pasta - generally delightful and would recommend highly. Sept 2011.

  5. An old cottage which had been updated imaginatively and comfortably. Very convenient for shops and restaurants. Parking was a bit scary as the road was on quite a steep slope. Public transport good. Weymouth and walks from cottage to Portland Bill were very interesting. June 2011.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
