1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low¬† deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

Set on a quiet country lane in beautiful walking country overlooking the Bristol Channel, Parsonage Farm is the perfect holiday location to ’get away from it all’. There has been a house here for almost a thousand years and that rich history is still evident in both properties. Reputedly, Coleridge wrote ’Kubla Khan’ in Culbone Parsonage, the main house. Parsonage Farm Stables (ref 15800) occupies what would once have been the hayloft floor of the adjoining barn, and Parsonage Otter Stables (ref 18192) has been attractively converted from the old stables. The holiday properties are ideally located as a base for walking, touring and riding on the crown of Exmoor. Places to visit include Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth, Watchet Marina and Dunster Castle (NT). The glorious West Somerset and North Devon Coast, Minehead, Exmoor and Lorna Doone Valley are all within easy reach. The highest ’Free House’ pub on Exmoor is just a mile or so away from the house. Picturesque Porlock Weir with its shingle beach is just 3 miles down the hill via a toll road, and local shops can be found in the sleepy village of Porlock. Refs 15800 and 18192 can be booked together to accommodate up to 7 guests.

Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. Study. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. First floor: 2 double bedrooms. Second floor: 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom with bidet and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (fuel £2 per basket). Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Ample parking.

All properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Video. Electric cooker. Microwave. Gardens with terrace and furniture. Barbecue. No smoking. NB: Some areas of garden are steep, with natural streams and ponds.

  2. This cottage is a stunning retreat with a fantastic atmosphere and as much character as you could ever possibly want. If comfy modern sofas, big plasma TV’s and an easy walk to the pub or shops is your thing then this is NOT for you. If being able to truly get away from the modern world, walking for miles straight from your door then sitting reading or playing games by a wood buring stove, playing the piano, or eating with the family round a large old kitchen table is your idea of heaven then look no further.   9. Beautiful and interesting cottage, oozing character & history. Very clever mix of old & modern. Kitchen & bathroom new & fresh but done in a style that fitted in with the wonderful old charm of the other rooms. Lovely location with the distant sea views. Enjoyed watching the busy bird table from the kitchen window and the deer and sheep in the nearby fields. The table tennis in the barn was a bonus. April 2010.

  14. Excellent! Culborne Parsonage is lovely. Very old, lovely furniture and atmosphere whilst having the mod cons. Quite secluded but that’s what we want and lovely walks from cottage and shops within short driving distance. Will definitely book again. March 2008.
