Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Ideal cottage for the less mobile friendly owner cottage ideal for visiting Dorset. June 2012.
  2. Nice clean tidy cottage home from home. June 2012.
  3. This is our third visit and this time the weather was not kind and we had a health problem with my guide dog and had to cut short our stay. Parlour cottage is delightful and Colin Caplen always kind and welcoming. May 2012.
  4. A very peaceful cottage and beautiful outlook across fields. The cottage was very well furnished and an extremely cosy feel. April 2012.
  5. Cottage well placed for visiting Lyme Regis, Swanage and Weymouth. Dorchester a lovely town. Pub in village quite expensive so didn’t visit this time. The Fox and Hounds in Cattistock good and also the Weatherspoons in Dorchester, reasonable food at a reasonable price. Sometimes hot water in kitchen took some time to come through and could possible have been hotter in the shower. This was our second visit to the cottage so it can’t have been bad!! April 2012.
  6. Much better than expected! A lovely cottage, in a great spot. Feb 2012.
  7. We loved Parlour Cottage. A perfect cottage in a very relaxed setting - a big difference to our home in London. Please convey our thanks to the owner who was very helpful. Aug 2011.
  8. Parlour cottage is a perfect place for a Dorset holiday get away, for those of you who want to get away from the rat race. We found quick and easy access to the Dorset coast by using the quiet country lanes, avoiding using many of the busy major roads. It was wonderful to come back to the cottage after a hectic sightseeing day and relax in peace and comfort. The glorious weather during our stay allowed us to enjoy the wonderful views across the valley, with lots of wildlife to watch over the fields, morning and evening, so glad I packed our binoculars. The pretty village of Evershot is a short car journey away and we can definitely recommend the bakery. June 2011.
  9. The Parlour Cottage is really lovely. The accommodation is all on one level a great advantage as we are both disabled. The owner was kind and welcoming and every where is spotlessly clean, good tasteful soft furnishings. We were perhaps just a little short of plates but this a minor hiccup. May 2011.
  10. The cottage was equipped to a high standard, clean and very comfortable. Great garden overlooking beautiful views. Oct 2010.
  11. Liked the layout & size. Oct 2010.
  12. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Sept 2010.
  13. Very comfortable, always been given 6 eggs in fridge and very fresh. July 2010.
  14. Accommodation beautifull with outstanding scenery, a little to far to the village without a car. April 2010.
  15. Beautiful cottage spotlessly clean and everything one could want. April 2010.
  16. Layout was good and garden suitable for our dog. Nov 2009.
  17. The property was excellent in every way and was like home from home. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views from the property were also excellent. Oct 2009.
  18. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. Oct 2009.
  19. This property had been converted very sympathetically from a milking parlour to a comfortable home from home, retaining some of it’s original features and "personality" - also liked the "prettied up but not too much" ex-farmyard setting and the beautiful views. July 2009.
  20. This single level cottage is well suited for those with moderate mobility problems, having an entrance ramp with plenty of space for wheelchair. However just to warn that the main corridor slopes down. Other than that it is a delightful conversion! July 2009.
