Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. It was fantastic. A lovely place to chill and relax. The owners were amazing. Nothing was a bother. Cats. Dogs. Horses. Dec 2012.
  2. Lovely property. It was very well equipped and welcoming. We would definitely recommend to friends and family. Sept 2012.
  3. Very comfortable bungalow with lovely owners. Great place to relax. Home from home. April 2012.
  4. Lovely accommodation with very nice and friendly owners who left a much appreciated welcome pack. The views from the accommodation were great, with the horses in the paddock. Very easy to get to York city centre, designer outlet, the seaside and the beautiful Yorkshire Lavender. April 2012.
  5. Just the relaxing get away we needed. The owners were friendly and thoughtful. Good location for visiting York and nearby National Trust properties. Easy walk to the nearby village with a welcoming pub serving good value for money food. Tip - take a tin of cat food it will be most appreciated by the "fur"endly visitors. Feb 2012.
  6. Pleasant and helpful owners. Lovely bungalow with fabulous sun room. Be aware that the kitchen is set up for "wheelchair cooking" if you are able bodied and intend to cook. An empty cupboard for visitors’ provisions would have been helpful but the little extras such as tea, coffee, milk, foil, snap and wrap, kitchen roll, etc were most welcome. For pet lovers the friendly dog, cats and horses were nice; they would not be a nuisance to non pet people. Oct 2011.
  7. One of the nicest places we have stayed in over years years, and the owners were really nice. Sept 2011.
  8. The bungalow is extremely comfortable, with everything in it you would need. Made to feel very welcome and hosts very approachable. Sept 2011.
  9. A very friendly place to stay, made to feel very welcome - a home from home. Sept 2011.
  10. 2nd Stay - Loved it!!!!!!!!!!! Aug 2011.
  11. The accommodation was one of the best we have been in so far. Stephen and Janet the owners were always available if you needed them and made you feel at home. We were thinking of doing a trip to the caves and before we knew it Stephen had printed off the directions for us and popped it through the letter box. The back garden is lovely and the horses come to visit you all the time. They have cats and a dog Molly who come to greet you but don’t get in your way at all. Will definitely try to go back next year. July 2011.
  12. Excellent accommodation, just what we were looking for. Set in countryside on a working farm, great for my son (just 5). The farmer and his wife couldn’t have been kinder and although it is a working farm and this was harvest time we did not feel disturbed by early morning or late night working on the farm. A perfect location for kids with a love of animals, but also close to York and other places of interest. July 2011.
  13. Paddock View was a lovely place to have a quiet relaxing holiday away from the stressess and strains of everyday life. Would certainly go back again. July 2011.
  14. All on one level so ideal for those with limited mobility. Limited access to back garden if wheelchair user. Loads of extras provided not usually seen in self catering accommodation (eg welcome pack Tea, Coffee, Milk, Sugar, Jam, Biscuits, Juice etc). Warm house, immaculate , self contained back garden and a plethora of maps, guides and things to do in and around local area and beyond. Very friendly owners who couldn’t do enough to help. My one criticism would be the lack of grab rail in shower area. June 2011.
  15. It was my first time in a cottage and we really enjoyed the stay, the owners were really nice and helpful, I would recommend it and will go back in the future. The cottage was so quiet and the weather was nice also. May 2011.
  16. Very welcoming from owners who also provided us with a complimentary ’’welcome’’pack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, orange juice, jam and biscuits on arrival much appreciated after a long journey. Property is furnished to a very high standard and the viwes from the conservatory lovely with their horses to enjoy every day. We would certainly recommend this peaceful, quiet retreat to young and not so young alike. Selby itself is a mere 5 minutes by car and is well stocked with plenty of eatin g places, carry out food stores as well as Sainsburys, Morrisons and Tesco. March 2011.
  17. When we arrived the heating was on making it feel warm and inviting. Also provided a few provisions which was a welcome bonus. Nov 2010.
  18. A good welcome on arrival created a relaxed start to our holiday.Everything had been thought about even to tea/coffee by the kettle. Sept 2010.
  19. Have been cottage holidaying for on and off 30 years and have never stayed at such a well equipped, high standard accommodation. Oct 2010.
  20. Excellent accommodation and very helpful owners. Sept 2010.
