Property Description

These delightful holiday properties are situated within an arable working farm, with horse stables, riding and livery, which are all available to guests by prior arrangement. Surrounded by miles of open countryside, fields and scenic walks along a historic disused canal, it is abundant in wildlife, including many birds, as well as rabbits, hares and deer.
Paddock Barn and The Courtyard are attached, and have been designed with a similar layout, including open plan living rooms and kitchen/dining rooms with natural slate floors, wood-burning stoves and spacious bedrooms with vaulted ceilings.
The properties can be booked together to accommodate larger groups, to sleep a maximum of 16 guests in total.
Barnham Court Farm is located just 4 miles from the nearest quiet beach at Climping, whilst the unspoilt beach at West Wittering is only about 20 minutes’ drive away. Chichester is only 6 miles away, with its beautiful ornate cathedral and abundance of pedestrianised cobbled lanes with various shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. Other amenities include a leisure centre with indoor pool, a cinema complex, the popular Festival Theatre which has year-round productions, and famous Goodwood Races for horse or motor racing; Fontwell racecourse is also only about 3 miles away.
Other places of interest include The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, and historic Arundel with castle cathedral, various book and art shops, and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust – ideal for bird-watchers. Slightly further afield is Brighton, perfect for a family day out, boasting the decadent Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres and Sea Life Museum, plus seaside entertainment along the promenade and pier.
The South Downs National Park is less than 3 miles away with wonderful opportunities for walking and riding, with many footpaths. Horse riding can be available by prior arrangement from the riding school in the farmyard, and livery can also be arranged. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Good local pub within walking distance. Takeaway fans should note that the Green Lantern in Barnham, whilst reasonably priced, offered some of the most tasteless food that we have ever encountered.   5. We absolutely loved Paddock Barn! It was provided a great rendezvous point for our large family to gather in celebration of our youngest boy’s 21st birthday - 5 children (3 with partners), 1 tiny grandson and ourselves. Pictures don’t do the accommodation justice and the place has was finished to a higher spec than anticipated. It is well equipped and extremely comfortable. Big squashy sofas, large round dining table and best of all, the most comfortable beds/linen etc I’ve ever found in a holiday let. Had a poke around and found that our bedroom was all John Lewis feather and down duvets, luxury mattress etc - lovely! We played rounders on the field in front and our grandson really enjoyed the horses in the adjacent paddock. Hannah was exceptionally helpful with with the details surrounding our requirements and so I highly recommend this property. We would love to return in the future. Feb 2012.
  6. We loved the cottage and will definitely return. The rooms were furnished to a high standard and the beds were comfortable. The round dining table was a bonus when we had extra guests. The view in front of the cottage was lovely, especially at sunset. Dec 2011.
  7. Lovely house, warm and comfortable with good fittings. Shame one of the bedrooms is off the lounge - but the other four are not which is good. Views a little uninspiring but overal a good place to stay. Nov 2011.
  8. We had a really lovely holiday in this fabulous accommodation. The picture of the outside gives no hint of how big or private it was. All the bedrooms were very spacious and the bedding so nice we have bought a new duvet from the same source. There was plenty of room in the sitting and dining room for 7 adults and one 12 year old. The supply of kitchen equipment meant that we were able to cook everything we wanted to, which is not always true of self catering, and there was enough china for breakfast and dinner, so that we only had to run the dishwasher once a day. We have enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to come again next year. We were particularly tickled by the descriptions of the area written by the owner, and would refer you to the folder with the name of the property on it. We chose this property because of the places you could go to in the wet, but actually we had lovely weather most of the time we were here. Aug 2011.

  10. The barn has been beautifully converted. With 2 families staying we really appreciated the big rooms - especially the lovely sitting room and well equipped kitchen. We made full use of the outdoor space with a competitive rounders tournament! We also enjoyed cycling along the farm paths and onto Bognor. May 2011.
