1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

With fabulous views over spectacular countryside, these adjoining holiday barn conversions, renovated with comfort and style, lie adjacent to the owner’s working farm. There are numerous walks within the area, a bird watcher’s paradise. Nearby are cycling, riding, tennis courts, boating and paddling pools. Biggar, 4 miles, has museums, world famous puppets, a selection of individual shops and ice cream! Top class trout fishing for three rods on the River Clyde is included. The cottages are ideally placed to tour the border towns, and Dumfries and Galloway. Edinburgh is an easy 32 mile drive, with historic buildings and great restaurants. Glasgow, 37 miles, has a wealth of designer shops to enjoy. The World Heritage Site of New Lanark is a great day out and there are numerous castles and gardens - Dawyck Botanic Gardens are 16 miles. Stobo Castle Health Spa is 16 miles. Shops 4 miles.

  1. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet location, and was ideal for our family of four plus grandparents. There was enough room for us all, and we were very comfortable. The cottage is very well equipped, and ideal for visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Borders. The owners are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The Mill Inn close by serves excellent food, and Biggar has good shops and the museums are worth a visit. June 2012.

  3. The accommodation was excellent being modernly fitted out, very clean and well presented. Being all on one floor it fitted the bill for us with a partially disabled person in the party. It also fitted the bill for us as we have 2 dogs, by having a good enclosed garden and plenty of space in the fields adjacent for the dogs to run. A disadvantage was no tumble drier to dry our clothes and most importantly dog towels. We suggested to the owner that if provided it could be coin operated to save their own power costs. We will certainly consider booking this cottage again. Oct 2011.

  5. This cottage is beautiful, all the fixtures and fittings are immaculate, and the couple who live in the farm couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. A really relaxing, beautiful place to take your kids and dog! Oct 2011.
  6. This is superb spacious cottage which was great for a holiday with my now scattered children and grandchild. The addition of WiFi, which they’re planning to do soon, will make it perfect. The rural location is quiet but only a few miles from the motorway so you can get anywhere in Central Scotland easily and quickly. Aug 2011.
  7. Stunning cottage, fixtures and fittings to a high standard. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the gate. Hosts and neighbours very friendly. Ideal for a getaway from it all holiday. Tinto Hill a must climb for walkers, great views. Indian and chinese restaurants exceptional (especially carryout) in Biggar. The Mill Inn nearby is also great for an evening meal. This location could be the best kept secret in Scotland, so dont tell anyone! July 2011.
  8. This was a fantastic property - a beautiful and quiet location. The owners were there to welcome and show us round the house. They couldn’t have been more helpful! The only thing that was missing was garden seating and within half an hour of arriving it was brought to the cottage. Would definitely return. July 2011.
