Property Description

A former barn, this charming semi-detached holiday cottage makes a lovely family home and is ideally placed for touring the Lake District National Park. Situated in open countryside, just a 5-minute walk into the ancient village of Cartmel with its medieval priory, four inns, fine restaurants - including one Michelin starred, baker, specialist cheese shop and renowned sticky toffee pudding shop. Indeed the famous Cartmel sticky toffee pudding was made in this very cottage until just a few years ago. Lake Windermere lies eight miles to the north, with its steam railway and boats for hire. Bowness and Ambleside are both within easy driving distance. There are good local walks, notably at Hampsfell and Eggerslack Wood, right on your doorstep. Outlands is beautifully furnished with lots of character and an open fire. To the front of the cottage is a small sunny garden with patio, table and chairs. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen with slate floor. Utility room. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 bunk. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
