Property Description

Set on a working arable and cattle farm, within the owner’s 2000-acre estate in the Vale of Strathmore, these three welcoming and spacious holiday properties have been restored to a very good standard. Islabank Farmhouse (ref SAAP) is a traditional, characterful, comfortable farmhouse which is ideal for families, Curlew Cottage (ref SYYJ) is a charming, beautifully converted, detached, single-storey property and Osprey Cottage (ref UZQ) is a delightful, light and sunny, single-storey detached cottage. Set amongst beautiful farmland and fruit-growing country, they make an excellent choice for relaxing breaks in the heart of rural Perthshire. The estate makes an ideal base for exploring central Scotland, Edinburgh, Perth, St. Andrews and the Highlands. Glamis Castle is a few miles away. Outdoor activities (golf, skiing, riding, cycling) are readily available. Shops and pub 3 miles.

Osprey Cottage is a wonderful escape from normal life styles it is homely and welcoming and Katy’s welcome tray of fresh Scottish Strawberries, a bottle of wine and the local newspaper is a lovely touch. The cottage has everything anyone could need my only complaint is that at the end of the holiday we had to leave, without a doubt we will be back again and again. July 2010.

  16. We didn’t manage to meet the owners unfortunately to express our thanks. First impression from the outside was a little surprising but once inside the property was delightfully appointed and provided all our needs, quiet, peaceful and an ideal location for visiting the highlands and not too far from civilisation in Dundee and Perth. In fact a perfect compromise. Aug 2008.
