Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The Old Mill is a quiet get away from it all cottage. The facilities are excellent & the owners cannot do enough for you. July 2012.
  2. The property was ideal for our purposes. Really cosy and well equipped. Very peaceful - Lovely location and a pub within walking distance. April 2012.
  3. Loved it. A beautiful property and well maintained. The owners and their family lived just behind the Old Mill and were very friendly and helpful, close enough in case of emergency but not enough to be intrusive. We wanted to go again in October but the week was taken and are now looking at next year instead. It was a long way from Cumbria to Cornwall but well worth it. Overall, we had a lovely week and cannot recommend this property highly enough. The only downside to these reviews is that it makes it harder to find the week you want as more people want to go there. Maybe you should suggest to the owners that they build a similar property nearby but not too near. Very highly recommended. Feb 2012.
  4. Fantastic place to stay. Great owners, wonderful setting, ideal location. The only problem with a place this good is trying to keep it a secret so you have a better chance to get the weeks you need. Will go back again. Oct 2011.
  5. A beautiful cottage hidden in the countryside, but within a few minutes of fabulous beaches. An ideal position for visiting anywhere in Cornwall. Oct 2011.
  6. A very comfortable and well equipped period property in a quiet, beautiful location with excellent amenities nearby. Stunning grounds with two wildlife ponds and plenty of space with pretty walks from the cottage. Well located for most of Cornwall’s attractions. The host family are delightful, as are their pets! This was our second visit and we plan to return next year. Sept 2011.
  7. Very well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable. The wine and cakes were a lovely gesture. July 2011.
  8. Beautiful cottage in a lovely village, with pub within walking distance. Owner very friendly and helpful, all the freedom you want in the grounds surrounding cottage. Stayed there before in 2008 but will not be leaving it so long to return. July 2011.
  9. Cottage was really comfortable, nice bath, and the location was lovely and peaceful but within easy reach of most places, try the short train ride from St Erth park and ride to St Ives lovely views. The owners were lovely, helpful and friendly Skipper was a treat for our grandson he has never fed a horse before! May 2011.
  10. Fantastic cottage. Everything you could wish for and more eg dishwasher tablets! Central heating came in handy after a very went trip to Minnack theatre! Lovely owners too - welcome bottle of wine, cakes and milk. May 2011.
  11. Spaciousness, availability of facilities, nice and warm considering recent snowfalls. Dec 2010.
  12. Very convenient for touring the west of Cornwall. Plenty of dishes and other kitchen equipment for a holiday house. Terrific library and DVD’s for the one wet morning to entertain my grandson. Oct 2010.
  13. The cottage was a charming old watermill with many original features, located in very pretty grounds with a stunning millpond. It was furnished to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. It was well located for the beaches and had some excellent shops nearby. Sept 2010.
  14. Lovely secluded location. Plenty of character. May 2010.
  15. One of the best properties we have stayed at. Ideal setting, excellent furnishings and equipment, and efficient heating and hot water. March 2010.
  16. Cosy, quiet and excellently furnished. Home from home and ideal retreat. Exceeded all expectations and the horse opposite the house was re-shoed and the owner let us watch and was extremely friendly. Local pub was lovely. Lights in Angarrack at Christmas were different and quirky but added to the whole friendliness of the locals. Owners left us a Christmas welcome pack and hand written note which was lovely. Would definitely go back. Totally relaxing and stress free break! Dec 2009.
  17. Location was peaceful with lots of space around the property. Old Mill was very well furnished and comfortable. Nice welcoming feature; provisions and a bottle of wine , much appreciated. Cosy and comfortable a real home from home. We liked it very much. Oct 2009.
  18. Just a home from home, comfortable, clean and lovely. Sept 2009.
  19. The location is excellent - secluded but within easy reach of the town facilities and beach. The cottage is very well presented and we would certainly return. July 2009.
  20. The photos in the brochure did not to the cottage justice. It is a fab place and I’m already booking our next holiday there. Top class cottage - and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. The owners of the cottage could do no wrong in our eyes! June 2009.
