A tranquil haven close to the North Devon and North Cornish Coast, this is the ideal holiday retreat. These delightful single storey detached lodges sit peacefully amidst 8 acres of grounds beside the River Waldon. Guests are free to explore the many walks around the grounds which are a haven for birds and wildlife, or try a spot of fishing in the lake. All enjoy privacy, seclusion and delightful decked verandas, the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Bradworthy, 1 mile, has the largest village square in the West Country and provides good village amenities including a pub, church, post office, general store and butchers. A superb location with something for everyone. If you can drag yourself away from the lodge, nearby Tamar Lakes offers coarse and trout fishing, sailing, wind surfing and canoeing, whilst the coastal resort of Bude, 9 miles, has fine sandy beaches and excellent surfing as well as an 18-hole golf course, gift shops and galleries. Breathtaking countryside and coastal walks can be found nearby and the wild beauty of Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are just a short drive. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Tintagel and Clovelly are close by and the famous Eden Project is within easy reach. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

  1. Lovely clean well kept lodge. Owners very friendly and around most days keeping the area around the lodges well tended to. Cream tea on arrival was most welcome. Very friendly village 1/2 a mile away with a great pub, serving great food. Nearest beach at Sandymouth Bay was about a 20 minute drive away, but well worth it with the added bonus of a pleasant cafe at the top of the beach. Aug 2012.

  4. Oak Lodge is a very well presented holiday lodge, there is everything you need for a perfect break. It is an ideal base for visiting the many attractions in Devon and Cornwall. Sept 2011.

  7. This lodge was in a beautiful location with every thing you could want.The owners were very friendly and the cream tea was a welcome sight on arrival. A good property if you have a dog with walks outside your door.The local pub served good food and even let the dog inside while we ate. Will be recommending this place and will return in the future. Despite the freezing weather the lodge was wonderfully warm and comfortable and we were able to watch abundant wildlife, including deer, herons and a variety of birds from the window.
