Set in the peaceful region of the Vienne, this spacious semi-detached holiday cottage is part of a farmhouse which has been carefully renovated to retain many original features, including beamed ceilings and stone walls, decorated in pastel colours and cosy furnishings.

It has its own private terrace and large attractive garden, ideal for dining out. The historical city of Poitiers (12km) and Futurscope theme park (22km) with its many attractions and laser show offer a memorable family day out.

Only 10 minutes more lies the leisure park of St Cyr with golf, tennis, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing. Within walking distance (1km) is the medieval abbey of Nouaillé.

Ground floor: Lounge/diner, kitchen, utility room, separate toilet, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with separate shower, bidet and basin.

Oil heating, open fire in lounge (fuel provided), €50 supplement for all other fuel (if required), power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, colour TV, DVD player, radio/cassette/CD player, internet connection, washing machine, microwave, lawned garden, patio, garden furniture, barbecue, garage. One pet welcome.

  1. We have used several holiday cottages, but this one was exceptional in style, comfort, size and hospitality received from the owners. We hope to return. June 2012.
  2. The location was ideal for our tour of that part of France. The host family were delightful - helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The cottage can be summed up in a word "magnifique". The grounds and gardens which we were free to roam in were just coming into bloom so that was a bonus. June 2012.
  3. This was the THIRD time we booked this particular holiday. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home.The Grounds are gorgeous and large making it perfect for dogs. The house is spacious and really well equipped. Only drawback is the actual distance to the Gite (we travel on the chunnel because of our dog). Sept 2011.
  4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners were really friendly and generous, it was lovely to have such a well-equipped gite and we very quickly felt at home. The garden was a real highlight and the surrounding area was very pretty. It would have been useful,as it was quite a rural area, to have an info sheet telling us where the nearest supermarket was and giving details of places nearby. There were however a lot of leaflets left to look at. We would definitely visit again and would highly recommend this property. Aug 2011.

  6. Superb Gite, I have stayed in many & few of them can match this. Everything you could need is provided so don’t turn up with anything except food, clothing, a few good books & your favorite cd’s. The Gite by far exceeds the photo’s on the web site, this barn conversion would have easily made a four bedroom house but the owners chose to make a sanctuary for couples. Luce & Joel are the perfect hosts & are quite delightful. They’re right next door if you need any help but very discreet & unobtrusive. There were fresh flowers in every room & some lovely sweets & treats waiting for us. You won’t find a nicer place than this. July 2011.
  7. What a lovely place to stay, I go to sleep in rainy England remembering that lovely sunny terrace in the evening sunshine, heaven! We could not believe how lucky we were to have found such a lovely place. The owners were so kind and helpful and had left us all kinds of treats, there were flowers in all the rooms. We are so disappointed to see that it is already booked for most of September and all of October next year (but not at all surprised). Sept 2010.

  10. It was an amazing property, well above our expections. The website doesn’t prepare you for arriving to this place - a long sweeping driveway and beautiful grounds before you approach.   12. If anyone wants to have a relaxing holiday then this is the place for you. We drove down from Caen and the journey was well worth it. The property is set in such a tranquil setting and is near a lot of interesting places, eg: futurescope. Just under 2 hours drive is the vendee region. Poitiers is another place to visit which is 25 mins drive away. We thoroughly recommend this property.The owners Luce & Joel were very helpful. Luce speaks a little english, Joel does not. Our french improved while we were there. June 2007.

  14. Have used your company for a few years this property for us was the best so far and they have all been excellent. May 2008.
  15. The owners make perfect hosts as they are reassuringly adjacent yet are not intrusive. The property is spacious and the extensive grounds are well maintained by them. The sheltered patio faces into the garden/"park" grounds and boasts an electrically operated canopy. Privacy in peaceful surroundings yet not far from the village & shops. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. June 2008.
